i found the demo at eb expo and the beta version really boring . That my honest opinion.

Things i didn't like

Combo's don't feel satisfying. Without any damage meter, pulling off a combo doesn't feel rewarding. Sure you build up meter, but you never truly feel you are on top of the opponent.

From just playing the beta i can see some balancing issues. A lot of people see kratos as overpowered and i kinda agree. Not sure how the final game will turn out, but having super as a only methods will kill the game, it just seems unbalanced to me.

Overall i found the game clunky and slow paced. i'll wait and see how the final products turn out before deciding to purchase it or not.

To add to this, the entire roster fills quite unbalanced. Kratos is too powerful while some characters are just to weak like parappa (I don't think I spelled his name right). It becomes quite evident when you realize alot of the same characters are always in the match (from my experience of course).

Its one of the most shameful clones the world has ever seen. Its what you get if Ninty did everything wrong with smash and put these characters in it. PSABR is a very bad game.

How can something be a clone, even though it does everything entirely differently,or wrong?

There are some very poor knock offs out there.  Sometimes you try to copy something good, but you just can't do it.  See games like Mole Kart.  They copied Mario Kart 7 as much as possible, but the end product still sucked.  It's not always easy knocking something off.

Of course, I'm not saying PASBR is as bad as Mole Kart.  It's a reasonably good rip off, and it's fairly fun, albeit somewhat unpolished and a wee bit slow, but the point is just because you rip something off doesn't mean your product is going to be as good.

If you have a problem with a post, report it. As i've said before, we're always watching.

Sometimes double standards are applied. Is there someplace to report that?

what double standards exactly?

Did you edit your post? Anyways to answer this part of the post, by copying and then tweaking to make it different. The differences that were chosen made it a bad game.

Wow! This is the first time I have seen screenshots of that game. Looks really nice! I have not played it, but it seems a little smash brothersy. Who cares? Looks great and I hope that you Sony gamers have a lot of fun with it.

you know I'm kinda in this boat too now really, if you are going to make a fighting game why not pick bits from a known good formula, I'm buying this game asap and I'm buying it based on it being a Sony version of super smash brothers, that is by no means a bad image to have on this game. Smash bros is class, sony should have a decent jab at their take on it. Only thing tho always going to complain about that roster not having GTA3s character in it baseball batting fat princess's head in.

Oh well there's your answer. Its yes, even if you do it wrong its still a clone.

I'd say Mole Kart is a ripoff/knockoff, but not a clone. But then again, we don't agree on what a 'clone' is.

Well I was checking out superbot's website and this picture is a pretty good one. Look in the background.

Maybe they were playing Mario Galaxy? lol

Well, they did say they were inspired by Smash Bros.  I guess sometimes they needed to be inspired as they were physically developing the game.  They needed a Wii there so they could capture their inspiration while it was fresh.  Sometimes, they needed to boot up the Wii just to make sure the end product matched their inspiration.  #Notaclone
