Forums - Gaming - Do we need to begin a Project Rainfall 2.0 for 3DS RPG's?

Should we start a Project Rainfall2.0 to bring some of these big 3DS games over to Europe/ North America?

I feel it may be necessary.

Square has been cagey at best on whether or not it is even willing to consider bringing Bravely Default over to North America/ Europe territories.

It is a big-budget traditional RPG that has received extremely high praise from Japanese press.  It could easily sell a few hundred thousand copies just here in America.

Fantasy Life is another one that looks promising as yet another 3DS classic, yet sadly it seems unlikely it would be brought over, given it's not expected to be a huge seller in it's native country.  It's been in development for years, originally begun as  DS game.  Switched to 3DS a couple years ago.  It's one to watch out for as well.

Some of you may feel we should wait and see how they sell in Japan first before we have to take it and make it into a formal protest, but that also means waiting even longer for these games to come over.  ... I don't know about you guys, but I for one do not want to wait 12-18 months to play Bravely Default in English.

Bravely Default is a larger-budget project that i think would be a better fit to bring over, and i couldn't understand why SE would be at all hesitant about bringing it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

If Bravely Default does not get localized we riot.

I don't see as we'd have any other choice

They brought over that Princess game which has mediocre sales at best. But we are still waiting for at least 10 games over there. I think we need it soon. Another Wii one would be nice as well, but this one for the 3DS would probably be much more effective.

I'm surprised they brought over Code of Princess.  It doesn't seem like a good fit for NA.  Hmm... maybe that's a good sign that those companies are willing to take risks with 3DS since it's still a relatively new system?  I hope so.

Bravery default better come ova!!!! or I Riot.

Nothing indicating both games won't be localized, imo.

So, no worries. To me, both will be.

Only game I'm worried right now is Dragon Quest Monsters - because Rocket Slime was not brought over. But if Monster Hunter took its sweet time, this one can too. But I fear they might be giving up the Dragon Quest brand in the west - at least outside the main games - which would be sad.

Just to avoid unnecessary panic here:

Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of light - released on October 29th, 2009
Announced for western release - May 27th, 2010 - 7 months later.

Released in the west: October 5, 2010

Same goes for most Level 5 games.
