Forums - Sony - Sony’s Holiday Lineup Won’t Be Enough to Save Vita

God, I feel like there is a thread full of Sony haters every day on here. Never have I seen a forum filled with more Nintendo and MS fanboys (Well, maybe GameFAQs hahaha)

Therein lies the problem...if the desired consumer is a PS3 owner, why would you offer them console experiences on a handheld when they already have those experiences on a big tv?

Been saying this since day 1 vita was unveiled, and when PSP was unvieled.  Unless its a device you already have and its free cross play or whatever its all called is pointless.  Nobody buys multiple systems so they can play the same game on it.  You will buy only 1 call of duty, or madden, ect.  If you already have a vita and you can play it on it for FREE then its amazing.  But no-one goes out and buys the same game for 2 systems.

PSP managed to correct this with some unique games later in life, but it also had a much better start.  I'm not sure if developers will give the Vita an oppertunity due to its slow start and low userbase.

Actually the best thing for the PSP might have been the ps3.  Cause then there was a difference in teh games.  The Vita might need the PS4 to distinguish itself.

See that's just not true, if this was like a PS3 vs 360 thread, then it'd be completely different, this shit just happens when we discuss the Vita. It's ridiculous to think that people are fanboys just because they speak negatively about a device. This is a sales site so people are more subjective to sales, and most people think Vita won't do very well based on stats is pretty much it. I sing praise to 80% of PS3 exclusives and I have lots of shit on pre order, I have a PSP or 2, I even have a Sony 3D TV, but talk to me about the Vita and it's like an immediate 180 degrees turn into the phantom zone.

Yea I don't get why people are hoping for praise on a device that is selling super poor on a site that is dedicated to sales.

There are hundreds of gaming sites dedicated to games.  Yet this person goes to one of the few if only SALES tracking sites and wonders why people here talk about how piss poor the vita is.  If you want to talk about games go to a gaming site, if you want to talk about sales then this is the place.

In current situation I see Vita selling between 2 million to 5 million.

Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and PlayStation All-Stars are big games to have bolster the line-up. But there is also Ragnarok, Persona 4, Ratchet and Clank and more coming to help drive sales. Plus the annual holiday shopping frenzy.

Vita should be sitting close to the 9-10 million unit range. Which will entice more developers and publishers. This is still the first year of the platform.

Based on how things go through this holiday and the first 3 months of 2013 I see Sony cutting the price of the Vita at E3.

Flawed logic, considering people buy Mario on both Wii and 3DS...CoD Declassified is not the same game as Blops 2, neither is AC: Liberation the same as AC3

They based their argument on that the games are releasing at the same time that home consoles... But every year You see a Assasin's creed and COD on home consoles.. when will release a Vita version of those games if not soon before Holidays when people spend more money?!...

DoYou Want DOZENS OF NO GAEMZ?! then... Visit the Official PlayStation Vita Tread

cod is the only thing other then AC liberation(?) that will help Vita, unless Sony has something big for Japan.

Yes this.  Doesn't matter if the games are completely different.  Most consumers will see them as the same.  Mario is never released at the same time on different consoles.  They spread em out.

You really think the average consumer will know the difference between AC3 and Liberation?  or CoD declassified and BLops2?
