Who will win? One is a new console, the other is a 6 year old veteran.

WiiU is more expensive, but its a new console so it might have a great start if there are no production problems.

PS3 is cheaper, just got a new model and has games like Fifa and CoD that always spur sales.

I left the 360 out of it since this is a specific thread about these 2 consoles and not the homeconsole sales in general.

Even if the Wii U becomes one of the best selling consoles with one of the most successful launches ever it is unlikely that it will outsell the PS3 this holiday season ...

WiiU also has Fifa and COD. I really couldn't call it between the two consoles. If anything the only thing that will mean the WiiU doesn't win, is because Nintendo didn't manufacture enough. They will totally sell out, so they more they make the better.

It all depends on how many WiiU units Nintendo ships.

Hopefully the Wii U but it remains to be seen. There is a mario launching day 1 so that will be a good incentive but it is competing with the huge games library of the ps3. Some of the Wii U launch titles are/will on the ps3 already so we will see. Either way it will be interesting to see the results.
