now there's your problem. Having 90 ATTK against Grendel wont cut it. If guard training and strong sanctuary 1 are cards, drop em and equipt attack up cards. if its on the weapon, drop the weapon infavor of a weapon with higher attack stat, preferably with attack up skill. You wont  need sanctuary against grendel as you really wont have enough time to cast it. Just use potions.

keep in mind that if you influct enough damage to Grendel and he is near death, he often starts spamming his more stronger and anoying attacks. the same holds true for most if not all boss monsters. When they get beaten up, they change tactics and start spaming thier stupidly annoying attacks.

So, being able to dish out more damage is key.

That's the sad part, that weapon has the highest attack of anything I have.  The only one I have higher is a hammer with 100, which I can't use because I'm not a hammersmith.  I want to use the assassin, becuase I have a 69 attack weapon that I think I can upgrade to like 80 or 85, and he has some wicked skills (like +2 attack, +3 defense), but Assassin's have shitty-assed health.  I don't want to risk it.  

Now that is sad. Have you tried getting the Hrungnir card with majsety skill that I'm sharing through near now? if it dosn't show up in your room, go to Near and download it manually. If you can mannage to download the card tell me and I'll put up a mace for you to dl. its not the best, but its a million times better than what you have.

It keeps saying I have no new gifts.  I go to that little angel dude to accept gifts from near, but that's th emessage I keep getting.  gonna go to near now.  See if I can manually download.  How do I instantly download from Near?  I never did really 'get' near. 

just open near and update, if you updated succesfully, you'll get new out and about (foot) and discoveries (pencil thingy). Go to discoveries and then game goods. scroll through game goods and you should see a bunch of stuff. just check the ragnarok odyssey specific gifts. you'll notice that there are little down arrows on the sides of some. this means that those gifts aren't being downloaded automatically. just tap it and download. The system will ask if you want to download gifts for this game automatically, hit yes. to be on the safe side, just download em manually first.

After that, go back to Ragnarok Odyssey and check the pink angeling again and accept through near. you should now see the gifts recieved from near. choose the best 5 since you know, ragnarok odssey only allows a maximum of 5 gifts from near at any given time.

I've done that 4 times, I keep getting the same 2 weapons, one is a pretty awesome hammer that I can't use, the other is a sword that, again, I can't use.  I haven't gotten anything new in a week. 

now thats strange, I have you on my friend list so you should be able to get my stuff too much like how mugen got some stuff from me through Near. do you have share online id "on" on near settings?
