How is the poll biased? The only options are 2011 and 2012.

The poll was biased because 2012 was (wrongfully!) getting the most votes. That's settled a little so I think it's not as bad.

Hmm... I stand by my opinion that the 2011 users are better. NintendoPie, BasilZero, man-bear-pig and Andrespetmonkey are some of the very best users on this site. (And I'm sure I'm forgetting some great 2011 users outside of the OP.)

My opinion is probably biased to some degree though since I joined in the beginning of 2012 and met the above users first.

Also note that the last four users on the 2011 list each has an extensive ban history.
