CONGRATS!!! I really love the Halo games except Reach.

Overtracked here .

VGC: 46.75m
VGC (without Halo Wars): 43.68m

* VGC doesn't count digital or pc sales *

i don't think they did count everything like you, as example the map pack for halo 2^^

and i also don't think they count digital sales which you hint at but we all can just guess.

Regardless of how many copies it has sold it's the best FPS to date in my opinion. If you can find another FPS that is as well balanced and competitive please let me know. Counterstike hasnt aged as well, call of duty is a mess, Killzone was good but not great, Resistance failed completely, Battlefield....... Halo 4 Hype Train!

^Lol, cop-out. So a thread is created and we shouldn't discuss the subject matter? Okay then...go wait for your Halo 4.

yes because it's not about overtracked ps3 stuff^^

We don't know what it includes. Halo as a series is undertracked if anything and they almost certainly aren't counting digital, no idea why Pezus would say they would be included? well... actually, I do....

Sorry but the numbers are against you this time.

VGC doesn't count neither digital or pc.

I forget the mappack... fixed.

Edit - The 43.68 number is without any map pack.

lol Battlefield in my honest opinion is boring. Not a bad game, just I dont like it so it would be really unfair if I said anything about it

Yep Halo series is overtracked and it has been known for quiete a while.

Previous MS release:

"'Halo: Reach' is the biggest game Microsoft has ever released, and its launch has already surpassed every game, movie, and entertainment launch this year," said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios, in a press statement. "Every major installment has grown in scope and popularity, firmly cementing the 'Halo' franchise as one of the most popular entertainment properties in the world over the past decade."

Spencer's claims aren't entirely accurate. Halo 3: ODST, the last installment prior to Reach, took a full two weeks to reach $125 million in sales. While its overall sales--somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 million copies worldwide--were impressive, they never came anywhere near Halo 3's 8 million copies. I guess Spencer considers ODST a 'non-installment', a position fans disappointed by its brief six-hour solo campaign could probably endorse.

So we know Halo 3 > Halo 2 > Halo

Are we really suggesting Reach is 3m overtracked?  Are we really to believe Halo 3 only sold 8m?  when it sold 3m first weekend?  Truth is... nobody knows.

I doubt this includes CE remake and possibly not ODST.

You know the Reach launch PR is unfair.

Reach Day 1 (US + Europe) = $200 million
Halo 3 Day 1 (US only) = $170 million

So Microsoft said the Reach is the biggest launch at the time but the real Halo 3 sold better than Reach day one.
