FPS hate is silly, especially when there are fantastic and imaginative franchises like Borderlands and Fallout. I can understand CoD hate somewhat, because its crazy success has had a negative effect on the creativity of the medium, but at the end of the day it's still just a game. Personally, I dislike realistic military shooters, but the sci-fi and post-apocalyptic types are some of my very favorite games.
I'm very pleased at the success of Borderlands 2, especially since I did my best to tell everyone how awesome Borderlands 1 was. I know the intent of this thread is more about bragging on the number of copies moved by the 360 than it is about celebrating Borderlands 2 doing well, but I'd just like to throw in that it probably moved 600k+ on the PS3 (it was day one on PSN) and dog knows how many copies on PC, though I'd expect it to be at least 500k. 2M right off the bat is pretty awesome.
I credit the first Borderlands selling so cheaply for a lot of this. I've seen the GotY edition for like $10 a few times. Great way to grow a new IP.
