While I've played only the demo, I hated every bit of it. I never thought RE4 was a really good game, but considering that there weren't very many good console shooters at that time, it was one of the best shooters out there. With as many great shooters as there are now, the game just feels like a cash in because RE6 is nothing more than a bad shooter.
Bullet sponge enemies, bran dead easy difficulty, godlike melee powers, introduction of a poorly created and literally useless cover system. The gameplay just sucks.
Jake had an okay starting storyline, everyone thinking they're going to get high with these new drugs is an easy way to spread the virus. Everything else just sucked, especially Leon and his "Mr President don't make me do this," or "even though you're a zombie, stop." So what. You've been in two other games, you know the deal by now, what the hell, Leon(Or should I say Bruce Leon with the overpowered melee in this game?)
Someone needs to photoshop Shinji Mikami doing a facepalm. Every time a bad Resident Evil comes out, which has been often, I'd just post the picture.
Everyone I see that happens to like the game says that people just haven't given it a chance. I've given it a chance. Not trying to offend, but here's a question for you. Do you honestly like the game or is it just because it's Resident Evil? Because if you actually played more third person shooters than the Resident Evil games, you'd realize that the RE4 style has been surpassed even by the most average of third person shooters. Stranglehold, Max Payne 3, Army of Two, Binary Domain, Uncharted, Gears of War, Inversion, Vanquish, Spec Ops the Line, etc. The list could honestly go on for quite a bit. Aside from maybe Inversion which I haven't played, all of these games I listed are good and cheap by now, so instead of playing something that clearly doesn't deserve it, why not play good shooters that you may have skipped.
