Forums - Gaming - Resident Evil 6 reviews are not so funny! 30% from Destructoid lol

I am enjoying the game a lot. The complete game is a lot better than the demos released!! The camera is not close to char, now it is like the one in RE4/5; the graphics are better, and the controls and animations are more responsive.

People should at least rent it, and if they like it, they should buy it!! :D

GO RE6!!!!

While the game is not superb. Its definitely not bad either. Giving it abysmal score like 45 is just wrong. The game has a lot to offer, just completing it 1 time takes quite some time and its not bad gameplay either. And there are things that is gonna make you want to play again though. The biggest problem i've seen with this game is the same that 5 had. Its bad if you play it alone. Play it with a friend, preferably system link or online. And don't even touch the single player. Ada's campaign being the exception.

While I've played only the demo, I hated every bit of it. I never thought RE4 was a really good game, but considering that there weren't very many good console shooters at that time, it was one of the best shooters out there. With as many great shooters as there are now, the game just feels like a cash in because RE6 is nothing more than a bad shooter.

Bullet sponge enemies, bran dead easy difficulty, godlike melee powers, introduction of a poorly created and literally useless cover system. The gameplay just sucks.

Jake had an okay starting storyline, everyone thinking they're going to get high with these new drugs is an easy way to spread the virus. Everything else just sucked, especially Leon and his "Mr President don't make me do this," or "even though you're a zombie, stop."  So what.  You've been in two other games, you know the deal by now, what the hell, Leon(Or should I say Bruce Leon with the overpowered melee in this game?)

Someone needs to photoshop Shinji Mikami doing a facepalm. Every time a bad Resident Evil comes out, which has been often, I'd just post the picture.

Everyone I see that happens to like the game says that people just haven't given it a chance.  I've given it a chance.  Not trying to offend, but here's a question for you.  Do you honestly like the game or is it just because it's Resident Evil?  Because if you actually played more third person shooters than the Resident Evil games, you'd realize that the RE4 style has been surpassed even by the most average of third person shooters.  Stranglehold, Max Payne 3, Army of Two, Binary Domain, Uncharted, Gears of War, Inversion, Vanquish, Spec Ops the Line, etc.  The list could honestly go on for quite a bit.  Aside from maybe Inversion which I haven't played, all of these games I listed are good and cheap by now, so instead of playing something that clearly doesn't deserve it, why not play good shooters that you may have skipped.

You know thats not really a ringing endorsement.  "a video game should be able to stand on its single player alone" Yahtzee

You know what's bad? I've never played a Resident Evil game. Well, I did play RE4 and RE5 for about 10 minutes apiece, but I just couldn't get into them.

Finally got around to playing the demo (with a friend).

Leon's section was awesome. My friend got scared/surprised and we got overwhelmed several times. Felt like survival horror to me for sure.

Chris's section was next, and I didn't like it at all. The controls were much worse for some weird reason and the enemies were often hard to spot. It felt bad.

Jake's section was last and felt like a halfway point between the two. My friend and I were panicked while being attacked by ... well, you know what I'm talking about. But the controls weren't as nice then either.

Overall, it felt looser and sloppier than RE4 and 5, but that might just be me getting used to the controls again. It's just a demo, but it didn't come off as an awful game to me by any means. Still, I'll wait for a sale.

Since I missed the pre-order sales, the best being a $10 credit from Amazon, I'll just wait for either a sale or another 6+ months until Capcom releases RE6 Gold with all the DLC.

Granted, I only played through the Leon demo once, it was good enough for me to want to see the rest of the game while simultaneously thinking, "Thank you Internet for being a drama queen and blowing things out of proportion once again; this game isn't bad at all."

2.3M sold first week!! Screw you haters!!! XD
