i wonder if ps3 can hit 200k or even 250k?

if it doesnt hit 200k its pretty poor.

250k would be decent, more would be good.

week 2 and 3 are the tellers.

i actually think it will pass 300k but i didnt want to mention seeing as most thought there would be no boost at all. i guess everyone magically changed their minds.

Who said there would be no boost at all...  let alone "most".

if i listed them all, it would take you years to scroll to the bottom of the page.

right. ok.

your the master of finding old threads aint you? go and have a look.

Dont recall on thread on the boost prediction.  I remember the thread about dominating the rest of the year, but thats not the same thing at all is it.

lol. dominating the rest of the year! thats turkish talking. i think dominating is too strong a word. theres no reason ps3 wont be able to stay ahead for the rest of the year though. thats what is so interesting about november and december, you just dont know whats going to happen.

That is a nice jump.

Wonder how much is (a) replacement vs. new buyer; (b) spurred by price cuts on old model; spurred by new model; (d) spurred by FIFA 13.

It is times like this which made me wish we knew unique buyers for each console and consoles-in-use numbers. We keep thinking of consoles as discrete, one-time purchases while there are always upgrades, replacements, etc. -- and even more this time as the generation continues forever. In other words, raw hardware sales only tells a part of the story. I imagine developers would love to know if x% of Xbox 360s sold have been traded in or if y% of Wiis are collecting dust.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I don't think we'll see a huge boost for the PS3 WW. This was FIFA week; which boosted sales by nearly 100% last year. The slim will likely add 20-30k sales on top WW, which is good.

Last year FIFA boosted PS3 in 34% and 360 have Gears a week before so -10%.

Forza > GT5 academy.  Even you must be impressed with Forza in the UK

Even me .

Anyway I wanted to see the combined sales of GT5 and not the splited by version.

GT5 academy about 4k and GT5 a few hundred probably.  GT5 was 73rd on the chart last week.

Not bad for a price hike. They should try raising the price of the Vita.

Legendary.

Great find. This goes to show there is still a market for PS3; moreover, their 10-year plan is in order.

"But if you look at continental Europe, PS3 hasn't even peaked yet. Why would you run away from a console business when you're not even top of the hill? We're certainly not going to run away from it."

PS3 is still growing in Europe.
