Square must be happy for their added ds support.

Heroes of Mana anyone??

As for the PS3 software lineup, yes, it is incredibly bare.  There is no argument about that.  However, the fact is that things aren't much better for the Wii or the 360.  The Wii has a few titles coming out, but unfortunately they all look crap.  At least the few things on the horizon for PS3 look very promising.  Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Minna No Golf 5 for me.  Lair looks pretty damn good too.

Super Paper Mario?  I predict sales of less than 50,000 next week.

Yeah, Im looking forward to Heroes. It flunked in Japan - which sort of surprised me (no like for RTS's?).

I wouldn't say things are bleak for the Wii - Mario Party, DQ:S, Brain Training will keep people happy. Ninja Gaiden is sort of an unknown in my books, as I basically consider it a port. Its not exactly "new territory" - might keep existing owners happy, rather than selling a lot of new consoles.

Next week is Golden Week - I wouldn't be surprised if SPM hits 100k. Expect a BIG Wii shipment, maybe even 200k units for the holiday.

It won't be 200k shams, i would estimate just under 90 or 100k at most.

PS3 is almost under 10k a week, GCN hardly ever dropped that low.

I don't know if PS3 can gain back in Japan... I really don't the trend is established in another direction already, it's not just going to 'magically' change.

itrackr shows Wii at 22% avaliability now. Either A. Demand just vanished, or they sent a few million to america.

Or stores are sitting on stock until the weekend

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

It's funny how the Sony fanboys are saying wait til 2008-9 whatever to judge the success or failure of the PS3 while at the same time they are doing minute by minute analysis of itrackr.

Don't underestimate Golden Week. Its like a "mini" Xmas, all of its own - and the Wii is the new/hot toy on the block.

Just checked, and sales for Golden Week last year were approx 45% up for DS & PSP:

(PS - check it out, see how healthy the PSP was then!).

...

All depends on Nintendo. Assuming Wii is supplied restricted, if they can deliver 200k to market - I wouldn't be surprised if most don't sell out.

Wii could easily sell above 100k during golden week if Nintendo ships above 100k. I think PS3 will go up to, around 15 k atleast.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

200k ???? you can't be serious !!! I think it could be a big shipment but 120-130k is already almost twice as usual !

Let's see this weeks hardware sales...
