I'm a bit disappointed if it's true but we all know there will be more with DLC and downloadable content,and until SuperBot themselves dont say the word i'm still expecting some characters to be announced.

So which iconic Sony characters are missing? I'm thinking Crash, Cloud, Squall, Tidus, Abe? I also don't think unlockable characters will be from new franchises, more like sidekicks from already represented games or very very small franchises like Gravity Rush. It wouldn't make sense to kill all the buzz by not mentioning Final Fantasy characters beforehand.

Just because it's not the lowest number of a character roster doesn't make it suddenly ok.  Plus, Persona 4 Arena was not a highly hyped supposedly AAA title like All Stars.

As for the roster, if you like it, then that's your opinion.  I think it blows.

ALL CHARACTERS WILL BE UNLOCKED WHEN YOU PLAY THE GAME.

If this is all the characters then there isn't going to be secret characters.

All the characters from Neogaf have been exposed to be true. There will be no more.

Super smash bros had 12 characters because limited hardware ability this has been said by Nintendo. No modern fighter should have 20 characters for 60 bucks?

DLC you will not get Final Fantasy Characters because Square-enix doesn't treat there characters like optional characters . You would be lucky to get any square-enix character and now you're telling me there going to give him final fantasy characters a DLC character. Come on guys.

DLC we be characters that are from sony side that they own and they probably not notable characters.
Your not going to get Snake has DLC because he the creator komjia(misspelled) is best friends with Sakuria( SMB creator). Snake is probably going to be in SMB4 and let's be honest which game will boost Snake popularity more PSAS or SMB4? There is no reason to expect Snake.

I could bet 20 dollars with anyone saying there won't be secret characters.

Not saying it's going to be Cloud or something huge... but it's plain obvious there'll be at least 5.
Seriously, guys - just think about it, what fighter does not have that, it's a major part of the fun, especially in nostalgic games like this one. And there's even "evidence" to support this.

The trend in many fighting games has been to have every character unlocked from the start for online play.  I can't say that this is the case here, but it's not a guaranteed that there will be unlockables.
