EDIT: Poll got screwed up. Second option is supposed to read "I will see it in theatres eventually, but I'm not hyped enough to consider it a 'must see ASAP'"
I've been excited for Looper for a while. Bruce Willis is the man, and I enjoy Joseph Gordon Levitt as an actor more and more with each movie I see him in. I don't know if sci-fi is necessarily my favorite genre, though I definitely enjoy it, and especially when it's a sci-fi movie done well.
All around, Looper looks like it's just gonna be an awesome movie. It reminds me of Inception in a way b/c some scenes from trailers indicate there is more to the rules of Looper's universe than meet's the eye; for example, the scenes that show the sudden levitation of objects around people. This really makes me wonder. It has mystery, and makes me that much more excited to see Looper so I can understand (again, similar to Inception when seeing its trailers before being able to see the whole movie).
Anyways, even though I've been excited for Looper for a couple months, I feared it would ultimately do bad - or at least mediocre - critically. The reason my hype has gone up even further than before, though, is that the critics have been almost unanimously praising Looper so far. It has an incredible 92% on RottenTomatoes out of 172 reviews so far!!! (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/looper/). For reference, The Dark Knight Rises has an 87%. One review even cited Looper as "this generation's Matrix", which is a hype-worthy statement in and of itself.
So, I'm wondering if anyone else is excited for Looper. I feel like I haven't heard many people talking about it. What does everyone think? Is there any hype for this movie on VGC??
