It's sad, very sad. No wi-fi makes the game go from "must-have" to "won't bother probably" for me.

With 2D graphics and no online, shouldn't this be a WiiWare title?
Heck, I bet you could even implement online with a WiiWare title. The point is, make it disc-free for $20 or less with decent Worms gameplay and it's a deal.
This is most definately not a deal.

So, stick to Worms DS (the 2nd one?) Got it.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
I'd love to know WHY they didn't include online.
It was planned, it's not hard, they did it with the DS and xbl version, so WTF? I doubt very much it was a cost saving or time saving factor.
I'm betting in test marketing, people just didn't care. Fact is, people like Wii to play with friends and family (that is together) and that's one of the biggest differences in people's minds that Wii = playing together and 360/PS3 = playing apart (online). That may not be 100% truth, but it's perception. Given that, for Joe Blow, maybe including online is a discouragement, whereas without it they assume it's more fun cause they'll play with their family.
Just a thought.
