A bunch of new IPs launched beside a few established franchises would be awesome.

As far as 3rd party games go, I think both the 720 and the PS4 are going to be fine. Major studios are already at work. Both launches will have plenty of content.

I think we need to keep in mind that gamers, as a whole, are never satisfied. Games take a lot of time and money to make, but people become angry if a console is abandoned so developers can work on the next gen. Likewise, if you work to support the current gen, gamers become angry at a "bad launch". Attempting to find a middle ground might result in allegations of both.

I can honestly say that I'm excited about another KillZone, if it's set on earth. Having that as a launch window title would boost the franchise. Another Ratchet & Clank title would be great, but who knows what Insomniac is going to do after Fuse.

Jay i think you have the games spaced out a bit too far in OP. Especially given how much time has gone by since the developers last released games.

Demons Souls 2 must be an early title. Make it so.

Seems logical. Altough I think Uncharted 4 will be released 2014. And who the hell needs Killzone 4? They should step away from this franchise and try to make something new.

I agree that Uncharted 4 could release in 2013 or 2014 at the latest. However, I don't believe sony should release big games in 2013 because the PS4 would sell regardless. And I don't think it should he released in 2014 because Gran Turismo which is bigger would already be releasing for the year. Besides, Uncharted 4 will be crucial during 2015 which is also an important year. I'm not really sure.

It doesn't seem wise to release so many games during the PS4's launch when its going to drop anyway. I can understand one big game, but three seems excessive. It'd be better to let them release in later years where software is more important imo.

We don't know what MM is doing but it will probably be a new family friendly EP. Than you add Uncharted/killzone 4 on top of that (all within six months or so) and you have a huge must buy console. And I don't think they will step on each others toes that much.

I think the system needs a very good multiplayer game early in it's life..probably at launch. This helps build a community from the get go and also helps build franchises.

UC MP is VERY active. So it's a very good option and the game can definitely showcase the hardware nicely as well

but personally I think Stig's game will be taking that place as a launch title and we will see UC4 in the fall of 2014..and this is me assuming sony will launch ps4 in the end of 2013

They're making a new IP and kz4.
