looks really cool, I hope they have a good range of stuff in the UK for it as well (iPlayer, 4oD, Sky Player would be great)

I live in Australia not US.. Not supported, Not excited!

well i may ge tinterested if it works in Australia.

But others are right almost every other deivce I have almost plays TV stuff.

I too only care about games.

However I can see why Nintendo implemented it as so many wingers in the past saying Nintendo needs to be more than a gaming machine. ie dvd player, bluray player etc lol.

So, you guys are all excited because nintendo just created a software system that puts a bunch of filters out there for you to plow through before you get to what you want to watch? Aren't you guys already sick of all these filters? Why would I care what some computer software is recommending for me?

The touch screen control looks nifty, but I don't see how it would be functionally any different than a normal controller.

All in all, good for nintendo to putting some focus on media, but for me it really isn't anything to get excited about.

I think it shows Nintendo are looking to make the Wii U a serious competitor to PS4/X720 in all regards, they probably see part of the drop in Wii sales as down to the fact the other two provide entertainment options and core gaming more than the Wii does, now the other two also have the motion controls and casual games libraries are expanding this has eaten in to Wii sales and market share so they are making sure the U doesn't lose out on the things that are hurting Wii sales now whilst at the same time continuing to innovate and maintaining what makes the Wii brand what it is and of course Nintendo's iconic first party games.

It seems like a nice little extra feature that I might only get to fully enjoy when I move to America in a few years time...

TVii? TVii?
Holy Shit they are really proud of their double i

Another device to watch Netflix, which I hardly watch anymore. I should cancel the service really, I'm just watching stuff for the sake of not spending money on nothing... Every time I think of something I want to watch, Netflix Canada doesn't have it.

The thing that really suprised me was Facebook integration. I didn't think Nintendo had it in them... especially sonce Miiverse can't be tied with other networks.
