As the publisher, they are providing funding for something. So, if they gave up the publishing rights at some point in the future, they would most likely sell the rights. As for the topic creator's theory on all this, it's flawed based on the fact that nobody knows the very nature of the agreement behind Nintendo publishing the Bayonetta sequel. I'm sure in situations like this, there are specific contractual agreements and doing something such as altering a polygon or an entire level wouldn't change anything.

If people just want Bayonetta 2 that much, then just buy a Wii U. Simple!

I had to look it up, as I never heard of it, but it looks like it's only for wii, no trace of a hd version at all. Also, they wouldn't need to port to Wii U, as the system is Wii compatible, so the game will still work on it. 

But, people expecting Bayonetta 2 to come to ps3 and xbox 360, is starting to sound like when people expected Metal Gear Solid 4 to come to the xbox 360, ain't it? It's not happening, I don't think

A lot of people started asking  and rumors swirled about an HD port of the game.  Some even went as far as saying the port was being done before the Wii release.  It's all good since Muramas, Arc Rise, Boy and his Blob etc never saw light of day as a non-Wii exclusive.

yeah maybe some games are supposed to remain exclusive, oh well. Those 3 games seemed good though, from reviews and trailers I have seen, never bought them though

Platinium blamed nobody.

It was Wii U Exclusive Bayonetta 2... or no Bayonetta 2.

Those were the options.

If someone feels betrayed because the company decided to make a sequel so at least some of the fans could play one....

when the other option was no sequel....

they need to get the hell over themselves.

People who are mad about a Wii U exclusive are if anything the real betrayers. They would rather see a franchise they say they love die, rather then have a sequel on a platform they don't have?  (And nobody has for that matter.)


The hell is that? 

There is no proof that Nintendo was the only one proposing. Maybe Konami (who works with PG by the way) or another publisher made proposals but Nintendo had the most generous offer. You can't discard that.

I think that if they were to port to other consoles, it wouldn't be done by PG+, unless you want another PS3 Bayonetta situation, you actually don't want a port from SEGA lol. The worst part is if they are re-tailoring the game for Wii U, which is a more powerful system, the other versions would be ported down and people would still rage either way because they'd feel insulted that a weaker console can't run the game as well as a console with "Wii" in it's name, either way, it's fucked.
