Pretty good for me. Looking at a year or 2 from now I would be looking at buying a Wii U, vita, or PSP. Then a year or 2 after PS4 and 720 release I would look at them.

Price is good for me. Deciding if I preorder from Bestbuy or wait for it to appear on Amazon.
I'm disappointed it doesn't include the new Mario game, so basically I would have to pay $400 for it. It's a bit too much imo, still undecided if it's better to wait a few months, I have a lot of Wii games to play anyway.
Speaking of Mario, I hope they change the name, New Super Mario Wii U is just a horrible name!

I'd prefer a Mario premium bundle instead of Nintendo Land, but once I'm rolling in cash a again a couple months after the holidays... $400 won't be a huge stretch. Might have to postpose my plans to buy a Vita even further, though, and I should probably just forget about Ouya altogether.

From what I recall, I tended to predict that the Wii U would be priced at between $300 and $400 and would come with a bundled game ...
What hasn't fallen within my expectations are that I expected a Wiimote and Nunchuck to be bundled (not really a big deal imo) and for the Wii U Tablet to be priced at $80 to $100. While I could be wrong, I suspect that the Wii U tablet has the typical high margins (for both retailers and manufacturers) that console accessories typically have; and I was anticipating Nintendo forcing moderately lower margins to make 2 tablet gaming a possibility.
Amazon UK have upped their prices from £200 (basic) and £250 (premium) to £250 (basic) and £300 (premium)... Bastards!

the price is right and anyone who expected anything lower was a foul, I look at all the people who believed the 200$ rumor we got a while back

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
I don't think that the price tag of $350 for the 32GB option is steep at all, and anyone who was expecting $200 still thinks that Nintendo is a 90's gaming company.
The wiipad however, has way too high of a price tag for any casual consumer to buy it ---> developers won't feel the need to make games that will run well on two wiipads ---> we will never end up needing two wiipads.
But I wonder if you can just take your wiipad to your friend's house and connect yours to his and play with two that way.

The price isn't too bad. Of course, I see the PS3 and the 250GB 360 dropping to $199 soon, so that will probably make the $299 price point not look so desirable to your average customer, as the Wii U will mostly getting slightly upgraded ports for awhile. That and the graphics won't look very noticeably different to them. Still, once the price drops (probably around the launch of the PS4/NeXbox) I can see it doing very well. Not Wii numbers, but still very good.
