Forums - Gaming - Turok Demo

I'm playing it as I type this, the beginning was really tense, set the mood very well.

So far it's been pretty enjoyable, but how can you not enjoy shooting dinosaurs?

Graphics are good, voice acting is mediocre, controls are much like any other FPS, I like the level design, and thats all I can judge from what I've seen so far.

Like I said, its kinda fun, I don't know if I would buy it seeing as how I just bought UT3, but it's not bad.

As in go buy us some coffee.

the turok series was good for the first two, then sank FAST. I'd be surprised if this generic soldier turok turned out any good.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

It actually looks not bad I might download it.

Flashback tell me the fog is gone, please oh please tell me the fog is gone. I wasn't too entranced with the previous two games. I never bothered finishing either of them. The multiplayer in the second one wasn't all that impressive either. That said it sounds like a concept that should work brilliantly. Perhaps they have finally got it right. We can hope.

The bow and arrow is a lot of fun to play around with, so are the knife kills.

I was very disappointed with the demo. The dino fights were 'fun', and the dino's looked and acted very realistic, but there was absolutely no tension for me.

Also, the terrorists must have heat-vision or something, because they kept seeing me from a distance while I was crawling in the tall grass (which I'm supposed to use to stay hidden)

Also, if you die, you have to redo at least 10 minutes worth of action to get back to where you were. I was in an entire new area of the level when I died, but I got tossed back to near the beginning of the level.

I WILL say that it at least seems better than Turok: Evolution, though.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I hated being in the dark cave. Dark Games where you can hardly see are not for me, but as soon as I got outside I quickly enjoyed shooting the dinosaurs. I got stuck at the part when you Run into the 1st big Dino and the smaller raptors attack it. It tells you to clear out the place but I been to every possible place around that whole aread and coudlnt find out where the hell to go.

the cave wasnt that dark, it was actually pretty visible.
you might want to change your brightness level on your tv,
or change rgb to limited if your using a ps3.

I was looking forward to Turok, but I dislike the demo... I had more fun with Turok 1 way back for my 3DFX pentium PC at the time.

PS3 vs 360 sales

hmm.. the first FPS/TPS I played on the PS3 ,that is unplayable with the fragFX and the demo doesn't feature rumble (PS3 version) , although the DS3 will be released only ~ 1 month after this game releases
