... None of those names sound remotely familiar to me, so it won't bother me since I won't know what I'm missing out on anyway...

Besides, doesn't the game have some sort of online (I think I heard it doeS), and can't you trade Pokémon with people from other games?

Haha you're right - I never traded with anyone online, I forgot XP

You never heard of them (nice, a spoiler free game) - Check out Rainbow Yoshi's post full of win!

Anyways, whichever version you choose be sure to go check out the Pokemon Global Link, it was a nice addition to the game imo

I bought Pokemon White as I felt it looked slightly better to me due to the Pokemon but you could wait out for the sequels and if you pre-order them you get Genesect free with the copy.

How many catchable pokemon are in white/black now.

... What is this lol, all I see is a Pokéball flying around the globe lol.

Is it like, a site or something that lets people set up trades and such? Because that would be pretty cool :o

It's kinda like the pokewalker of B/W. You upload your pokemon to the "dream world" and explore there.

You meet pokemon from previous gens and can befriend them (send them back into your game). While exploring the world you can find cool items and useful berries and also send them to your game. It also has minigames and a farming mechanic for berries (there's no longer a way to plant berries in-game). I enjoyed it, I thought it was a nice distraction from the main game.

... You can't plant berries ingame? o.O Seems odd that they'd remove that feature.

So does this mean I CAN catch Pokémon from older games?

Yeah, you can meet different pokemon in the dream world and send them to your game. There are different pokemon in different regions of the dream world. The pokemon you meet there are from previous gens, it's mostly random which ones you'll meet... No more spoiling, check it out for yourself!

You can't catch older pokemon in-game in the wild (...until post elite four).

I went with White, because Zekrom!. Oh and because Zekrom!. Did I mention Zekrom?. It's good, because Zekrom! .
