Forums - Sony - Finding a 60GB PS3 - Is it worth the effort?

Hey, I was just wondering if the 60GB PS3 is worth trying to find. I am very interested in buying a PS3 and am stuck on deciding whether to purchase a 80GB or trying to find a 60GB. Also, is the 60GB cheaper? And, does anyone know where to find a NEW 60GB PS3?

They are completely gone from my area (Atlanta, GA). I would just get a 80Gb before Sony discontinues them.

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M

Look at Ebay. I would take a 60GB over the 80 though.

Unless you have some like rare Japanese games you want to play, just go for the 80GB.

There is a 60gb model at a local Blockbuster here, but they're charging only $10 less than the 80GB version.

No ebay. Sixty gigs go for like 480 without shipping on there, for all that, get an extra twenty gigs and a game.

If you don't mind buying a refurbished one, you still can find 60GB PS3 at the BestBuy auction site.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I'm going to begin checking around at my EB games stores, loathe them that I do, they would be the best place to start.

Why? Well, my ps2 memory cards broke, and I don't feel like paying 40 bucks when I could pay 400!

I think weird. Also, 300 is my buy price, 400 is my "mebbe" price.
