Forums - Gaming - Operation Support Vita: Let Us Be Proactive About This Handheld

I have one friend with a Vita and I'm going to hard press a couple other mutual friends to get a Vita, probably tempt them with a good multiplayer game like PSASBR or Earth Defense Force 3 because they had a fetish for it. I'm trying to convince my brother to get one but he feels he doesn't need a handheld after not enjoying his DS despite liking handhelds in the past. He has drunk too much of the Xbox coolaid now and shrugs the device off as if it isn't a good system. Maybe destructoid got to him.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I fully intend to grab one after the first price cut and/or when memory goes down. I've never bought a console at launch price. I never had a PSP, and there are a bunch of those games I want to play, as well. I think I'm going to keep my dumb-phone and get a Vita instead.

I'm not concerned about it being "dead". It always kind of amuses me to hear that term used early in the life of a console.

I suggest picking it uo blqck friday with a bundle like assassins creed or lbp or what ever. You'll get it for $190 by logic since game is 40 and mem 20 but it might sell fo less or even throw in some games and memory cards maybe even cheaper. I know used 32gb mems here are 60 and im just waiting til someone trades it in, since over here is sony dominated, they get 32gb usually uzed for that price every week or so, and next one is on hold for me so it should be a good idea, even so all bundles unless stated are core vita prices sk they will always be saving you money and you'll get it for around 190

If it does end up cheaper over the holidays then I'll re-evaluate.

Damn if that Assassin's Creed bundle doesn't look nice, though.  A white Vita, memory card, and the game for $250 isn't bad at all.

Is that a real deal?

Hardware wise it's my favorite handheld ever. Needs more games for sure though.

It's the best handheld out, and rivals home console as far a features go.

It needs a price drop and needs to be compatible with regular sd cards. That is all.

The product doesnt have releveant diferentiating points to justify the price. The price is the biggest barrier at the moment. I'd love to get one to play Ys 4 and wipeout 2048.

Yes and there are a bunch of them coming, like 7 bundles. The AC3:L is the only one that comes with the white Vita though. The madden 13 bundle is already out, the LittBigPlanet one comes this month, PSASBR is coming along with a Call of Duty one. I don't know them all off hand but those for sure. If you buy a wifi Vita from now to the end of the year you will get a free game and memory card. Any other deal during Black Friday or Christmas is a bonus.

I am not going to turn pro-Vita, but since the NFL season starts this weekend I will stop hanging around the mall and talking people out of purchasing PSVs at weekends.

Lol, I could totally see you doing that Rol! xD

OT: So your initials for this would be OVS? "Operation Vita Support"?

Sure, at Amazon.  http://www.amazon.com/Assassins-Creed-Liberation-PlayStation-Wi-Fi-Bundle/dp/B002I0JZOC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1346800690&sr=8-3&keywords=playstation+vita

People are saying it's either a 4gb or a 8gb card.  It's on the box, but I can't tell what size.  Still a good deal, and so pretty.  Same for the CoD pre-order.

Well I just brought one yesterday with gravity rush, Im having a blast!
