It is a clear indication of the distinction between my personal opinion when posting, and the removal of that opinion from any moderating duties.

In this specific instance, there was one other moderator online. I discussed your post specifically (not just general discussions about the thread) and we agreed a ban was warranted. Kantor then cut it down, as is his right as head mod.

I communicated with the mods - when they got to it the broad opinion was that moderations were well-targeted, but over-harsh. Kantor has reduced their harshness since, and I know for next time.

The system works!

Starcraft went around banning on personal opinion and his own emotional idiosyncrasies. Why someone is allowed to pull on a superhero cape and go ahead on his own inquisitorial quest of moralistic cleasing and still be a mod is beyond me. Thankfully some of you other guys were still around to hold back... your mate.

I don't want to know what he said. I just want to know who it was so that I know which two moderators never to talk to or mention. Apparently you two think you're above the common users and that someone sarcastically saying that a mod knows best is flaming and worth a 3 day ban even when the user in question does not have any history whatsoever. So please tell me who it was or if he's here please come out and say it.

I wouldn't be reacting badly if it were a fair ban. If you were banned unfairly as I was then I'm sorry for you, but what does that have to do with anything.

Ultimately it was myself that made the ban. I was just attempting to illustrate for you that I tried to follow the accepted process, rather than banning you arbitrarily. Kantor has decided it was an overreaction on my part, as is his right. I have stated that I'll be guided by his direction in like-circumstances in the future. I apologise that I caught you up in the (myriad) moderations in that thread that were upheld.

So there you sort of have two options. One is to laud it over me and any other mod that agreed with me that we were overruled. The other is to forgive the error and move on.

I will not drop this. You obviously don't see how awful of a call your moderation was. Really? 3 day ban because I told you that you knew best? in a thread where you charactarized about half the people including me as pervs for getting involved in the scandal. Me being on the other side of the argument clearly was a motivator in you banning me. That or you're just insaaaaaaanely sensitive that someone sarcastically saying that you knew best after you claimed half of us were pervs was worth a 3 day ban to a guy with no history. You are abusing your mod power to ban people who disagree with you. You are not fit to be a mod and maybe to a lesser degree the one who agreed with you, but I can't say that for sure until I know what he said or what he decided on. So I guess option one?
