My primary problem with the 3DS is the same problem I had with the DS. Dual Screens. Shit sux and no amount of other people loving the crap out of it will change my mind. I tried it. Still hate it.

Second, the stylus play. Also sux.

Finally, the new thing. The 3D. I am not impressed and thus ultimately it is not for me. So despite the fact that I would love a new 2D zelda game like the old school LTTP or Links Awakening. I know we are never gonna get it. Instead we'd get something like NSMB2, which I think is quite possibly the worst installment I've seen in the main franchise.

Many may shout me down, but this is my opinion based on first hand experience. I just plain do not like what nintendo is doing these days even though I tried.

The core of the Vita is still the same gaming I have known for 2/3 of my life and thus it appeals to me. A single screen. Traditional controls for games that should have them. No stylus. A leap in graphics.

Yeah, the vita is failing, and may ultimately be a failure. But then when it comes right down to it, I guess id rather be playing a failure, playing the type of games I like, the way I want to play them, then I would be playing games just to keep up with everyone else.

That new neo geo x gold? That appeals to me. The 3DS? Never will.

That makes perfect sense.

Just get the Vita already.

It's region free.
It has the games you like.
It has Cross Platform/Play/Buy.
It is the better web browser and app device.
It is getting PS Mobile this fall.
It is getting PS Plus.
It has 250+ PSP games on the store and 100+ PSone classics.
It uses the same account you use on your PS3 for transferring games between them and collecting trophies.
It is graphically superior.
It has cross game chat.
It has great multiplayer capabilities.
It has unique combination of two touch screens with gyros, 2 camera, Augmented Reality, 2 analog sticks, and great buttons.
It has an 5" OLED screen.
It has 7(?) bundles available this year that come with a game and a memory card for the Wifi version.
It has a 3G version if that's something you are interested in.
It has a power grip by NYKO for 30 bucks that makes it feel like a dualshock and doubles battery life.
It has digital versions of every retail game available day one.
It has remote play so you can operate and play your PS3 from your Vita at home or anywhere in the world.
It has remote controller allowing for asynchronous gameplay like shown at Gamescom with LBP2 and announced for Guacemelee.

I have a tough time believing that.

Not even the PSP has that much stuff on PSN. Unless they are counting them all together + those crappy little games no one plays.

As of August 27th in the United States there are 53 Vita games, 295 PSP games, 183 Minis. Since then more games have been added to each category in addition the the PSone classics. Together Vita has more than 500 games.

By crappy little games do you mean unpopular ones? How can you not count those as games? Or maybe you mean the minis, because I listed those seperately. There are over 295 PSP titles. A nice chunk, but not containing all the best games but quite a bit of them. Unless one plans on taking advantage of used games or needs a must have game not available digitally that they apparently waited several years before getting a PSP for, getting a Vita is a good option and titles are making their way onto the digital store front.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
