I was recently mugged and had my galaxy s2 stolen from me. now im on a bit of a hunt for a slightly lower end phone. My 2 choices ive come to are either the xperia arc S or the Motorolla Atrix 2. which one does everyone recomend and have you actually used them. how are they in terms of software and ease of use. ive used an arc s and it is no where near as good as the galaxy s2. 

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you got mugged. That must've sucked. I hope you're fine. :(

I'm not personally familiar with those two devices... But according to this website (source) the atrix 2 has better hardware, while the arc s has official ICS. If I *had* to go with one of those two, I'd personally take the motorola. However, if I may make a recommendation, the HTC One S is probably also in that price range at the moment (sorry if I'm wrong), and it blows the other two out of the water. The only complaint people have with the One S is the pentile display, but bothers some a lot more than other. Besides that, I can't really help you much. Good luck with your phone selection.

cheers for that, yea the one s is quite a bit more expensive in nz. but the atrix 2 is definitely looking good I actually got a second hand arc s but it just doesnt compare to the galaxy s2. ive looked at reviews etc but i mainly care about software features and interface with android. im tempted to sell it already and wait for a cheap second hand atrix 2 to pop up

Cant say I know either of the brands too well, though my dad just recently bought an Xperia U and is very happy with it. If you are looking for good deals on phones here in NZ, sign up to Grabone. They have some very good deals and discounts and phones are discounted quite often.

trademe is definitely the way to go. grabone just has mostly those unbranded phones.

if you know your IMEI number, you can get back your stolen s2

yea i gave that to the cops thank god for gmail. but alll he really said was what tower its connected to but cant pin point. i feel like there kindof just letting the case slide as its nottop priority but he said hell investigate further which basically means wait a while. the sim card has been swapped twice so they probably sold it quickly
