I just wanted to make a thread to commend SMS on a fantastic game in GOW3.

 I had already played  bit of the game, but then left it. However yesterday I decided to forcee myself to play it more. And it is absollutely brilliant. I loved GOW 1 and 2. But GOW3 is so far my fave my PS3. I have played the first 2 Uncharteds which were good. And Killzone which is  fairly forgettable. But GOW3 is awesome. My 2 fave Ps3 games are now GOW3 and Ratchet and Clank TOD. Santa Monica have done an incredible job making GOW3 a real callenge yet fairly doable.

Also the big set piece moments are well worth it. I have just killed Aphrodities husband and cant wait  to continue. I juust wanted to share my love for this game as it has claimmed a top 5 spot in my fave games of this gen. Santa Monica well done.

GOW3 should be played by  anyone this generation. Awesome game.

Ah, yes. Aphrodite. I still have a save right at the part where.....yeah. Great game.

I agree with you. This is also my favorite PS3 game. The cinematic nature of the game is amazing and the game is just crafted so well. It honestly reminded me of Zelda a bit where after receiving new items you revisit old areas to unlock more places.

Is it possible to play offensively in this one or it is like the first two?

Yeah I will. Loved TOD alot.  Will finish GOW3 first then get it. Maybe force myslef to do the last couple missions on KZ3 to say been there done that. Its ok just the story is me. I still couldnt tell you what the main characters feel, thoughts and life is like. Schevchenko? And thats afterr I played KZ2. very poor character progression and story in general.

In almost 20 years of gaming I can easily and honestly say that God of War III is my favourite game of all time, it's damn near as perfect as humanly possible. I just hope God of War: Ascension can match or if it's possible surpass it, but what really has me salivating is the mere thought of what Sony Santa Monica can achieve on the PS4 with God of War IV... It will be Godly :D

I do love the graphics. I still dont think its x game over another anymore. They all have strengths. THeres times when GOW3 looks just ok. But thats because itss about to use its hardware to render a mammoth boss.

But as a overall package, graphics + gameplay + story = awesome.
It is jut a great game all round. My curent 3rd best game of the generation.

Glad you liked it. Personally I've never been a fan of button mashers. Has some nice graphics though.
