This was pretty much what I wanted by pointing out the flaws I was able to find with the claiming.

Hi, well, I already asked a question you could answer, well not really a question, but anyway, I wanted to hear everybodies thoughts on the nameclaiming after I revealed something everybody should've been able to find out.

Well, anyway, then share your thoughts regarding the reactions people have shown when the nameclaims were demanded, who do you think were the persons who were sure to gain profit from the nameclaims, and try to analyse why these persons thought they will profit from the claims. Do you think these persons had a negative motivation to encourage these nameclaims (means scummy), or was it legit town motivation.

OK. This worked out better than expected. Moreno would have to be either Rainbow Dash or Rarity.

Talk came up about two mafia "switching" their names around. All I have to say is, "So what?" If a mafia claimed Twilight when they are really Rainbow we would know that when they are lynched. When they are revealed to be Rainbow instead of twilight then is is true that you couldn't clear the rainbow group since another mafia member would still be present there, but that WOULD clear the twilight group since they would have switched with a fellow mafia member. As in, the twilight member claimed rainbow, so the twilight group would be cleared.

This becomes more complicated if the mafia all switched around their names, but to orchestrate something like that they would have to be able to talk during the day. Something we are not sure of yet. It would be very risky to lie about their true names if they couldn't talk to each other.

Basically, I think everyone has told the truth about their names until we find out otherwise. Also, if that is the case, those that brought up the mafia exploiting this could very well be the mafia themselves trying to get into our heads that they did do something when they really didn't. Like I said, we have to wait and see when the first mafia flips...

@spurge I didn't figure anything mario didn't already mention except for one mafia per group due to the existence of four different elements that cannot me shared or excluded. So the credit is not mine, I just expanded on an idea that already was mentioned.

@Linkz, I'm still not convinced that scum somehow managed to strategize or lie about name claims. Though I kinda sense you are leaning to an agreement with me on that.The risk an emergence of a number of a certain group of ponies would have stood out as an irregular. For the most part, I'm with the notion that the claims are clean-with the possibility of a lie claim being a late claim if any. As I already stated.

Here, let me explain it. Maybe I didn't explain it well enough.

The elements cannot interchange, they CANNOT be given to any pony.
What we are certain of:
1-Elements are evil in this game (scum)
2-There are only four elements in the game- These elements are Loyalty (Rainbow Dash), Magic (Twilight), Laughter (Pinkie Pie), and Generosity (Rarity).

With this information we conclude that these elements are only associated with one type of pony. We are not going to see, for example, we are not going to have scum Twilight flip as the Element of Loyalty. The conclusion is that each group has one element. 1 scum per group.


Now, distribution... as Linkz and stefl are concerned with. Or rather, the possibility of a scum lie claiming. While I am not naive enough to completely dismiss the possibility, I don't think scum would further corner themselves by potentially causes an irregularity in the ratio of ponies in each group. If after the name claim we had 5 rarities for example and 2 Pinkie Pies, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out something isn't right in those groups- someone's lying. Since we had an even spread, it's very hard for me to believe that someone lie claimed.

As for switch claiming (ie two scum switching place)... that absolutely has no effect on how we would play our strategy. UNLESS, as Linkz put it, unless a suspect scum and a trusted scum switched hot seats to bail the other out... or at least that's how I understood it. And even that's still far fetched.

Exactly, these lists will act like the "sensor" role for us. We know there is one scum in each of the lists if everyone is telling the truth. I forgot that not everyone has seen the show, so I just assumed everyone knew each pony corresponded to one of the elements. Now Spurge should be able to understand what we are talking about. :P

Also, I feel like we need to come to some sort of majority and get things moving. I'm not sure if Noctis would be the right choice though.
