Hmm, actually only the lines by Judge Koh were amusing in my eyes...

Right. That would certainly help innovation.

It would. Claiming it wouldn't is like saying that copyright is the only thing that makes sure art still gets produced. Nevermind the thousands of years of art created prior to the concept of copyright.

Please don't bring things like art into a technology conversation. Art's value goes up over time while a new technology makes most of its money when it is new and cutting edge. I don't mind your disagreement but i have problem with people who have the inability to see other's point of view. Can you simply not see a single point raised by Apple in the trial as atleast somewhat valid. The internal memo at Samsung stating let's make our phones just like Iphones.
Peace.
I think there should be no problem with samsung making phones that look like iphones. They aren't iphones. They don't run IOS. They aren't iphones, and its pretty obvious to anyone that they aren't iphones, except to apple who is trying to sue because someone made a phone that looks like an iphone (which is rectangular with a touch screen. innovative!!!)

The verdict is out. Samsung found liable for infringing on Apple's patents for following devices - Fascinate, Galaxy S, S 4G, S 2 ATT, S2 i9100, S2 Tmobile, S 2 Epic 4G touch, Skyrocket, Showcase, Infuse 4G, Mesmerize, and Vibrant.
Samsung ordered to pay $1 Billion in damages to Apple. http://gizmodo.com/5937762/samsung-vs-apple-apple-winning-big-updating
Glad that it is finally over.
