Sequel? o.O

Yup

Marvelous Entertainment's Yoshifumi Hashimoto, non massive breast producer of the Harvest Moon games, says that Rune Factory 4 was well received, and they've already decided to make the next installment. He also says that he wants to make a totally original title and is making preparations for this.

Hehehe.

Anyways, after the successful launch of Rune Factory 4, it's no wonder that Marvelous want to continue the Rune Factory train. :P

I wonder if another Etrian Odyssey is in development since that series has also been seeing great success on the 3DS.

For some reason, Gundam is not counted in vita's "first year" group

So adding it's sales the first 8 months are

814.518

+ 51,111

= 865.629

Any other game missing in this list? I don't think so, at least not any 10k or up game

You know what, I think I may actually join the Vita Doom train... at least for Japan. I never thought I would until after a year, but these numbers are just pure eye-opening for me. I think I'll still hold off until after TGS, but goddamn they need a miracle.

TGS is decisive for Vita, indeed, 2013 has even less games than the 3DS, I think - can only think of Phantasy Star for big games - what's more? That Super Robot Wars game and Final Fantasy X which we still don't know nothing. 2 of 3 not exclusive. Not good. Anything else?

For 3DS is also VERY needed, just not as much
For 2013 we have so far Luigi's Mansion, Monster Hunter 4, Shin Megami Tensei 4, Layton vs Ace Attorney, Gyrozetter (that square RPG that I believe will do good numbers), Tomodachi Collection... hmm, anything else?

The good thing is that 2012 is packed for 3DS, with Animal Crossing, 2 Inazuma Elevens and well, Mario (NSMB and Paper)

Lollipop Chainsaw ships 700k worldwide. A new record for Grasshopper.

I don't know if it's overshipped but that's still pretty good I guess. We'll have to wait and see.

Rune Factory 4 is now the best selling game in the series. :)

Now give it to me.

Concerning Vita releases for 2013, there is Soul Sacrifice, Sly 4, PSO2, Dragons Crown and...thats about it? I don't count FF X HD and Bioshock Vita because as much as I want them, they are nowhere to be seen and could very well be vaporware.

3DS has Luigis Mansion, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter 4, Castlevania, SMT4 and Layton vs Wright. Also possible games for the western market are Project X Zone, E.X. Troopers, EO4, RF4, Bravely Default, Gyrozetter, Samurai Warriors: Chronicle 2nd.

I hope Soul Sacrifice has insane replay value because that's the only game I'll be getting in 2013 for Vita so far.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

For the western market there's way more games for both. There's tearway, killzone, I think some others too. Fire Emblem is also set for the west.

I talked about games that can sell at least 100k in Japan - there's the major problem with Vita. And a minor problem for the 3DS

Yeah ok, I forgot Tearaway and Killzone, but those 2 will release like holiday 2013 and we have no idea what Nintendo will bring at that time because they don't announce games that far in advance anymore(except smash brothers). Do you think the promised original Zelda title is possible for next christmas?

i most definitely think the new 3DS Zelda is in the oven right now. I just hope it's not Majora's Mask

I must be the only one that thinks it's the weakest Zelda of all - minus the 2 NES ones, that are just too primitive/different for modern standards and Zelda standards, imo.

If they remake something, I really wish for Wind Waker
