Watching someone be smug and happy about a studio closing is the worst part of this hobby.

I am not gloating. I am saying ignoring financials and game sales is not the way to go for gamers.

We said that we hope they find employment soon. same with THQ and others. You on the other hand use this as an 'opportunity' to fuel some made up console warrior bullshit in your mind which no one frankly gives a shit about.

THAT'S what my lashing out is about. You can get your paranoid ass and go check for yourself how I reacted in the past if I waved my hand or what not. I wonder if this and big big's closing have anything to do with the UK removing tax breaks for game devs. The writing was on the wall for big big and Zipper, but this really comes out of left field.

I didn't know about the tax issue. But I agree, I didn't see this coming either. I wonder if the size of the studio is also part of the problem. If it's true that the studio has around 200 employees, it's a pretty huge number for a series like wipeout isn't it? I think racers are in general in the decline this generation sadly. I remember in the 90s and the early 2000s, racers were so damn popular. 

The studio had 200 and I think 130 are so are being "moved around" within sony. Why they just couldn't pear down the studio and let them keep doing their thing is beyond me. And since they are keeping so many people on board I have the feeling its more about moving assets from the UK. Evolution is almost definitly next. 

And with Evolution Studios being in limbo and Relentless Software dropping eveything Sony, things aren't looking really great for SCEE.

I should report this, because one should never directly insult someone else on a forum, as I haven't done here, but I wont. I don't believe in that. 

I get it your feeling a little sensitive because the bubble is popping. I dont mind the insults because its the internet. You dont know me and my behaviour in real life is quite different then who you think I am. So again your lashing out has no impact. But I would recommend you getting out more, if only to expand your definition of "sad", "fucked up", and the menagerie of insults you threw at me. 

Regardless of what you think my agenda is, it is always unfortunate when this happens.
