Forums - Gaming - How Does The PS3/Vita Combo Stack Up Against The Wii U/GamePad?

Well considering the Wii U is $300 and PS3/V is $500, and most Wii U games will be tailor made for the "tablet" gamepad while only a handful of PS3/Vita games feature crossplay or other connectivity features, it'd say Sony doesn't stack up very well against Ninty in this department.

We dont know what the Wii u is going to cost, and nothing says PS3 and vita wont get a bundel to combat the wiiU's launch.

There's no way the Wii U is gonna cost more than $350 max, any higher and it'll get killed against $199 360 and PS3 bundles during the holidays.  And what exactly is the point of bundling a PS3 and a Vita together?  Other than Sony taking an even bigger loss by trying to force a product on consumers that they don't want, that is.

What are they gonna do, bundle a PS3 and Vita with 2 copies of Playstation All Stars for $500?  That'll go over real well among the already cash-strapped holiday shoppers this year.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

@d21lewis dust 514, littlebigplanet, guacamole and mvc all use the vita wiiu style. There's more I just can't remember the others off the top of my head.

Does it work with LBP 1 or 2 or is that the upcoming Vita game?  I own both so I'd like to give it a try.

No idea what dust and guacamole are.

I have MvC3 on the Vita.  I'm curious as to how it works with the PS3 game.

Anyway, I stand corrected.  I thought it would be a totally ignored feature.  As a guy who is really into video games (and as a PS3 and Vita owner), I thought I'd hear about this.  I don't even think they advertise this on the Vita Playstation Store.  Any videos?

Mvc3 it acts as an ultimate controller. the screen turns into one hit combo buttons.

Guacamole is drink box's (the people behind mutant blob ) next vita game,

Dust514 is a shooter that interacts with eve online. There is a companion app that will allow you to travel the galaxy and look at different planets and interact with them is some way. Details are still scares on this one.

It's for little big planet two, and it's super awesome, It's pretty much what they are showing on wii u and of course they release the tools to do all too. So we could see some really cool stuff come down from the community. There is videos of them showing it off around the web and in the vita thread.

I vaguely remember the MvC3 thing, now.  I'll look for some LBP2 stuff and if it interests me, I'll dust off my copy of the game.
