Oh maybe, just maybe, God of War III is on there because it's one of the best games of all time? The most beloved, best selling and most acclaimed game in the genre of all time. You, as well as anyone who doesn't appreicate God of War III, obviously have appalling taste in games. 

I think this is IGN's worst list yet. 

Going by critics the top 25 PS3 games (exclusive) would be:

17. Resistance 2
18. Resistance: FoM
19. Killzone 3
20. inFAMOUS
21. inFAMOUS 2
22. Gran Turismo 5

That is a much more respectable list, however I'd put God of War III 1st because it's easily the best exclsuive this generation and the only Sony exclsuive I give a damn about. I will never undertand what the big deal with Uncharted is, Uncharted 2 was just about ok but overall the series consists of; dumb stories, poorly written characters, no artistic style, poor gunplay, poor platforming and a budget sounding OST. Same with Metal Gear solid 4, that game put me to sleep every time I tried to play it, It's so incredibly boring to play and just as dull to look at, also I've never experienced such a convoluted story before in my life. LittleBigPlanet is great, Heavy Rain is very good and everything else that I've played ranges from meh, ok and good.

5. Journey has 92 on 76 reviews (1 negative)
6. LittleBigPlanet 2 has 91 on 86 reviews (2 mixed)
7. Uncharted 3 has 92 on 97 reviews (1 mixed)

 

UC3 has more reviews than both of those, I think you oughta switch places with UC3 from 7th to 5. Oh and UC3 also has more perfect scores than both.

This is although based on metacritic and you couldve used something else.

 

So ill go a bit unfair on ya now =

and you said "Going by critics", and I have a list of 180+ awards for UC3 XD

 

 

I dont think you're going to change it though, you seem quite angry with UC :(.

Still though.. proceed my friend xD. I love GoW3 myself :|

I have not.  Awful, isn't it?  I really enjoyed Uncharted 1 as well.  I'm just giving myself a little break so I can get hyped for the second!

- I haven't played it yet because... I'm playing Final Fantasy XIII at the moment and really enjoying it!

Nope, Skyrim was.

Well it is the PS3 side of IGN where indeed UC3 did win. This list has no input from the 360/Wii (Overall) side.
Therefore yeah, UC3 was THE guy(s) who made that articles, GOTY.

I never understand Bioshock being on a list like this. I would rather Killzone 2, Resistance, MW2, World At War, Black Ops or The Orange Box (yes the 'gimped one') over it anyday, and that's just other FPS games.

GTAIV being just over GOWIII is just in poor taste. In face it's very presence on the list is in poor taste. Like an awkward joke.

Somewhat a solid list. No MGS4 and Demon's or Dark Souls is kind of silly.

Im glad to say that I have played all those games in the top 15 except ME3 and Arkham City.
