Forums - Sony - Getting use out of my new vita.... need help.

Can I buy sounds and shapes once, and play it on both PSV and PS3, or do I have to buy it separately?  Curious, and I don't know where to find the answer, so I figured I'd just ask here.  Trying to find something interesting on vita, so i can do more than listen to music on it.

Suggestions?... No games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma...  I tried that game already, and some other game by namco bandai that was basically the same type of game.  I cannot enjoy it..  But, I am getting Assassins creed...  Hoping there will be a cross buy pomition, or i'll only have liberation.

Finally, I did like Uncharted, but, i dont like the parts where you have to swipe the screen, and Nate just stands around while you do it...  Such as when boosting people up, or using the machete...  So, that alone is enough to make me skip it.

Yes, if you download it on one it will be in your download history, then you can download it on the other. Gravity rush is pretty good, then there's other psn games like pin ball arcade which is also playable on both with one copy. Or hot shots golf is a lot of fun too. Don't forget mutant blobs attacks. Motorstrom RC was free, I'm not sure if it still is, but you can check on that. And if all else fails there is a lot of psp games worth playing to hold you over till the the new games come out over the next few months. Don't for get to download all the apps as well, skype, facebook, youtube and netflix. Niconico is pretty good time waster, and flickr helps get your screen shots on the net pretty quickly. Down load every demo you can, you might find a few surprises.

If I remember correctly, If you buy Sound Shapes on PSN, then you get both the PS3 and Vita versions.

Try out Gravity Rush. Also, Mortal Kombat if you haven't played it on consoles.

Are the input glitches still in the game?  It's annoying how Ermacs specials don't spond correctly.  Instead of teleporting, he shoots beams.  You can even press circle first, and the the down back, and he still does it.  I was just playing it two days ago, and struggling to play like normal.  It felt so... stiff...

But, thanks, you two, I'll go ahead and get it, then.  Are there other games that work like that?  Buy once, and they work for both?

If your Vita is mainly being used for music than you just wasted $250.
Better off with an iPod which is a much better music device.

I have the 3G model.  My PSP was also mostly used for music, and I used it until it well.. burned out.  I'll be more careful with vita.  The games I played Most on PSP were Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, and Megaman powered up.  I can't wait for capcom and sony to fix the issues with megaman powered up so i can resume playing on my vita.  Not interested with Tekken 6, now that TAG is coming.

What genres do you like?

Fighting games, racing games (Wipeout and Gran Turismo, I don't like any other racing games... especially arcade racers)  But, I did like Twisted Metal's aggrevating racing modes.

And, Platformers... though..  Thus far, I only like Megaman and Megaman X platforming games.. the others don't do much for me.  I keep saying to myself I'd give baseball a shot... hasn't happened yet..

but, my favorite genre is fighting.  I hate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter X Tekken.  I've spent 87 dollars on SFxT on release day, so no costumes, or extra characters.  I'm only still playing that game because i'd only get 9 bucks back if i traded it in.  Not getting Vita version.  End of story.

I would recommend (via PSN) to get:

Megaman Maverick Hunter X
Megaman Powered Up
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max
Darkstalkers Chronicle Chaos Tower
Tekken Dark Resurrection
Guilty Gear XX
PowerStone Collection

^ Although not sure if they are available on PSN for Vita, they should be....

I'm kicking myself in the head for not geting MMMHX while it was on sale 3 weeks ago...  Megaman powered up isn't in the store due buggy issues with the digital version, that Sony and Capcom need to fix.  i don't like Street Fighter Alpha all too much, nor Dark Stalkers.  Tekken 6 is the only PSP tekken game in the digital store.  I've got Power Stone 2 on dreamcast, and play it several times a month with my friends, whom always beat me....  After 40 games, one has 35 wins, another has 4, and another has 1...  I'd only have 0...  I also have the UMD, so I'm again, not interested in buying it a 3rd time.

Not much interested in Guilty Gear XX anymore, and would honestly rather play Blazblue... But, I'd wait for Blazblue 3 before getting Continuum shift a 2nd time.

I'm not sure, I don't play with Ermac :) But I haven't experienced any glitch.

Sony just announced "Cross-Buy" at Gamescom. If the publisher allows it, then a PS3 purchase of a particular game will also give you the Vita version. Only a few games are confirmed though, the most notable one was Playstation All Stars Battle Royale.

Then you're not experienced in fighting games.  Go into training mode and try it.  Try to teleport after doing a mid-air punch...  Do it five times.  One, maybe all of those times, you'll do the blast, eventhough you're correctly puttin in the input for the teleport.  Or, as we know in traditional fighting games, you press the direction first.  You can press Circle first, and then press down~back, and he still does it.

And, he's not the only one.  The game, quite honestly, is stiff.  My record was very good when I actually played the game... Maybe 400-600 wins, and 40-70 losses... I forget the exact number...  Played the game again thursday...  It simply wasn't the same.  Stiffer than I could ever remember.  Not getting the game on vita.  Not a chance.

The games been on sale many times, Sometimes as low as 10 dollars. I havn't had any problems playing the vita version. It felt very good to me. It sounds like your quite picky when it comes to games.
