Forums - PC - Europa Universalis IV bringing grand strategy back in 2013

Paradox Interactive has announced that Europa Universalis IV, the first entry in the long-running grand strategy game franchise since 2007, will be coming late next year.

Announced via a Twitch.tv interview, Europa Universalis IV previously went by the codename “Project Truman,” and is based on Paradox’s internal engine.

Known features include an upgraded 3D map; an improved trade system; empire building; a more streamlined interface; and “more historic lands” than any other title in the series.

Despite not launching until 2013, Paradox says that Europa Universalis IV will be showcased at Gamescom next week.

Thanks, Kotaku.

UPDATE: An brief trailer has been released to accompany the announcement. Check it out below.

Looks interesting. I haven't played a strategy game for ages, although I did pick up Galactic Civs II in the last Steam sale.
