Nintendo fans have always cared about graphics... just not enough to choose PS3 over Wii or PSP/PSV over NDS/3DS though.  :P

@amp316 - you're right, this game has its place in the Wii U library.  Plus, like someone pointed out above, Warner Bros. is releasing Batman and Scribblenauts on Wii U so I can't really be mad at them.

Games like this were never really a bad thing, as there are lots of people who were looking for easy to pick up games that can be played with friends ...

With that said, I do think the improvement in graphics is somewhat interesting and unexpected. I always anticipated titles like this would have seen improvements in graphics but for those improvements to be fairly limited because publishers wouldn't want to increase development costs too much. Hopefully this is a sign that publishers are devoting decent resources to these games to improve gameplay as well as graphics.

I tought the box wasa bluray.
Also pretty weird seeing party games where there's actually some effort...at all in graphics.
