I didn't know that the rules for overtime got changed. It's not sudden death anymore.

EDIT: Saints FTW, by the way.

EDIT2: Saints FTL.

If the teams do not score a touchdown on their first possession than the game goes on even if a field goal is scored. On any other possession after that, it is sudden death overtime. The rule began during last seasons playoffs.

The officials in this Packers game are horrible.

I see the point, but I also see going 16-0 as akin to having a perfect game in baseball: skill's a huge requirement, but luck plays a big factor too. If we reran that season with the exact same teams, I can easily see them dropping two or three games. They had, what, four or five games decided by three points or less? They also had roundly-terrible division opponents (4-12 Jets, 7-9 Bills, 1-15 Dolphins), which made for six more-or-less gimme games.

None of this is to detract from their accomplishment: it's near historic for a reason. But they were a bad break or lucky play away from dropping some of those games, just like many teams are on any given Sunday.

The only close games were the Ravens and the Giants in the regular season. Everything else was a blowout or close to one. I admit that we were lucky to beat the Ravens and the only reason we did was because the coaches called a horrible timeout. The Giants though was all Tom Brady throwing incredible deep passes and bringing the team back from being down.

The only superstar brady has ever had at reciever was Moss and he only came to the team late in his career. Everyone else has been no names that Brady made good with his amazing passes.

Stop acting like Brady had nothing to do with the Patriots success.

you do seem to have to defend new england, even though i am from over the pond and know little i like new england and brady

@keanology having a quick look at rols google sheet you don't need to worry  much

people were split bewtween the bills and jets weren't they, come on tampa and green bay

gotta love that niner game.

I have now seen 3 of the 4 times the 63 yard field goal record has been made. That was the coolest looking one going off the cross bar. Funny, now that 4 guys hold the record the announcers barely seemed to care even though the 49ers did.

Dang some of my predictions on the tossups games were off :(. SUper excited for the the Denver game tonight :D

that would be a lot of NFL,annoyingly the bears game isn't on,they seem to be thumping the colts and i have re-rums of us open tennis, hopefully the sf/gb game is put on for me,the rams, vikings and redskins are upsetting my predictions too

does anyone e;se have problems with thread crashing/going weird,it seems relentless sometimes very annoying but maybe its just me

I have not had chrashing in the thread.

Oh damn, the only good non-blowout game is Jaguars-Vickings. Going to overtime.

Great the Chiefs lost!!!

and they didn't look too good either.  Based off impressions from the game they don't seem to be much of a contender for the division.

The Cheifs looked good in the first half keeping pace with the Falcons. There was no defense in the first half by either team. From what I saw the Cheifs will have a horrible defense this year. Not ready to call them bad, but it was in Arrowhead stadium where they usually win so I hope it is a sign they suck!

Peyton manning looking amazing

Rothlesburger kept annoying me converting over and over on third down and long. But, hot damn we could not have asked more from Peyton.

Von Miller is back, omg if the Broncos can be better stopping the run and the offense as is good skies the limit.

Anyways, the crowd in Denver is a throng of loud, crazy, fucks; I am proud of the noise they made today.
