Forums - Sports - The NFL Thread 2012: Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII

Who will win the Super Bowl? Part II

Denver Broncos 24 18.75%

New England Patriots 14 10.94%

Houston Texans 1 0.78%

Baltimore Ravens 29 22.66%

Glasgow Rangers 3 2.34%

Atlanta Falcons 4 3.13%

San Francisco 49ers 29 22.66%

Green Bay Packers 4 3.13%

Seattle Seahawks 6 4.69%

I am a wuss, but I want to see the results. 12 9.38%

Total:126
An updated playoff picture. The NFC is far more questionable regarding the playoffs (supposibly).
Only Wildcard chances in AFC are Indy, Cinncinnati, Pittsburgh.
Looking at schedules the Texans could still lose the top spot in the AFC as they got by far the toughest schedule of the AFC's top teams. The Broncos and the Patriots have cake walk schedules. Most of the AFC North has a lot of divisional games, but it appears Cinncinnati will come out on top.
Not going to bother with the NFC for now as that is not my territory of football knowledge.

Damn that Sunday Night game became dramatic. Not sure which team to give more credit to; it was basically a tale of two halves, although the Niners managed to shape up towards the end there. Quite entertaining, albeit not the way I was expecting!

The Patriots-San Fran game was one of the most entertaining games ever. The first half was full of bloopers and the second half was so surprising. The result was glorius. Game of the year, easily.

My Falcons get no love :(. They played great, and it's all about how bad the Giants did on the internet and sports shows. What about the fact that it's the biggest beatdown of a defending superbowl champion team and the first shutout of the Giants since 1996? What about the Atlanta D and those interceptions? They also picked off Drew Brees a ton in their last game against the Saints, and he's one of the best in football. The Giants were certainly not at their best, but maybe that's because Atlanta played really, really well yesterday.

If the 49ers hadn't won yesterday, then the Packers would be the #2 seed at this point. Who knows, maybe Seattle is going to help out the Pack a little bit this week. Quite amazing how things have played out in the last few weeks, because after that beating in New York it didn't look great.

The fact that the Niners have back to back Sunday Night games, and that each of them is the game of the week, is only a little surprising. That one of those matchups is against the Seahawks is quite surprising. I thought Seattle would be a wild-card contender, and I'm not completely sold at blowing out the Cardinals and Bills, but the Seahawks are looking much stronger than I would have guessed.

You should know by now that when teams in a large media market perform well, poorly, or indifferent, they are going to be the top story.

It won't matter even if they do get the 6th seed. They stand no chance against the top 5 NFC contenders. They're just are not healthy or strong enough in certain areas.

At this point my only care is that they win big next Sunday as I'll be at that game.

You are still part of it, even if you get crushed in the first playoff game. Next time just say that the Bears aren't going to win the Super Bowl instead of using words that don't mean the same thing.

Who will you be rooting for on Sunday? Chicago or your Cardinals (as chocoloco likes to say)?

Bears... only ever Bears. I don't know why Chocoloco keeps saying cards are my team. I think just because he knows I'm in AZ and was trollin' me. I have all my gear ready for me and my wife. It will be a fun day.

Everyboby knows you're a Cardinal Fan all the way. Just as Noname is an Oakland Raiders and San Francisco fan. As well as an Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants fan.

You take that back.

at your responses.

I like putting together photos, so I will get out more pictures of more teams later in the week, mostly of the NFC as they are not my rivals.
