Who will win the Super Bowl? Part II

Denver Broncos 24 18.75%

New England Patriots 14 10.94%

Houston Texans 1 0.78%

Baltimore Ravens 29 22.66%

Glasgow Rangers 3 2.34%

Atlanta Falcons 4 3.13%

San Francisco 49ers 29 22.66%

Green Bay Packers 4 3.13%

Seattle Seahawks 6 4.69%

I am a wuss, but I want to see the results. 12 9.38%

Total:126

I think we need a new poll. Packers and possibly the Ravens are not likely a superbowl contenders while the Broncos and Bears are.

Shakarak's pics.
NO-ATL 1 SEA-CHI 2 HOU-TEN 1 NE-MIA 1
JAC-BUF 2 IND-DET 1 CAR-KC 1 MIN-GB 2
SF-STL 1 ARI-NYJ 1 TB-DEN 2 PIT-BAL 2
CIN-SD 1 CLE-OAK 1 PHI-DAL 1 NYG-WAS 31-24

I'm going with the upset on Atlanta.  I think Seattle will keep it close against Chicago too.

So I realized Rol had missed a red for me on one of games and obviously corrected it later, meaning I actually had 4 misses going into today's game , I'm not in the top 5. :( Ah well, congrats on your win hatmoza! Still not bad week for me with 12-4 overall. Hopefully, I'll continue my march up the ranks. Just waiting on Rol.....

;) rol is currently filling out spread sheet...

Lol, there is no fighting in the AFC this year since all the division leaders are running away with the titles.

Thankfully, we got the NFC Northto still bring the ferociousness. I have not played attention, but my biggest hope is Bears Packers wildcard week.

Well, there is the AFC wildcard teams.

Does seem NFC North is only division where anything can still happen. c'mon BEARS!

I am happy there is no conflict. As long as the broncos push hard to be as high as they can it is better than an all out race.

Yeah, Bears over cheese heads for life.

carolina won then,so a good switch in the end,the eagles must be in a right old state

The Eagles simply have a serious turnover problem, otherwise they would have probably won the game. Their backup QB isn't someone the team can rely on, so they let him throw only short passes. He finished the game with 0 TDs and 0 INTs, but there were a couple of situations where he could have been intercepted. Their backup running back had a surprisingly good game (100+ rushing yards in the first half alone), except for two lost fumbles.

The Panthers have been notorious for giving games away in the fourth quarter (like last week against the Bucs) and they were on their way to make this a close one once again by missing the extra point to make it 31-22 and thus a two score game. But the Eagles fumbled on the following kickoff return and the Panthers got the two first downs they needed to run the clock out. Newton had 2 TD passes and ran for another 2, the Panthers didn't turn the ball over in this game. Finally they didn't mess up.

i had a quick look before bed in the 2nd quarter and it was 14-6 or something and i thought it could go either way, both sets of fans didn't seem confident when i read up about the game,

so the 49ers back up QB is ok then, not all back ups are bad which appears to be the impression i get

So which team does everyone think is the biggest disappointment this year? There are so many contenders, but I will have to go with the Eagles. Honorable mention goes to the Jets, Chargers, and Cowboys.

For the NFL.com analysts it's going to be the Eagles, because several of them picked them for an NFC Championship game appearance. In second place, the Chiefs. More than half of them picked them to win the AFC West.

For me, it's the Eagles. I think I picked them for the NFC East title in one of my posts before the season started. On the AFC side, I expected more from the Chargers. In the NFC again, the Saints fought their way back after a catastrophic start, so they are off the hook.

I was reading through the NFL.com feature "Stick a fork in 'em", they didn't want to kill the Jets just yet. Reason: The AFC playoff picture may allow one 8-8 team to sneak in and the Jets have an easy remaining schedule. Five teams that are just as bad or worse than them, the likes of Buffalo, Jacksonville and Tennessee.

I just looked at their remaining schedule and it is pretty weak, but it's hard to put much faith in a team that has a QB that runs into his own lineman's ass leading them.  They'll probably win the next four and blow the final game against the Bills.  Does that sound about right?

Possible.

The AFC playoff picture is interesting despite four clear divisional winners. The Colts are 7-4, but still have to play twice against the Texans and they aren't particularly good on the road, so they might lose to the Lions this week. The Steelers (6-5) are too reliant on Big Ben. If he's out, they'll lose. The Bengals (6-5) are hit and miss. They also have games against the Ravens and Steelers left (when Big Ben should be back). The Dolphins (5-6) have two games against the Patriots left, plus a meeting with the 49ers, so they are actually worse off than 4-7 teams like the Jets and Chargers. The third 4-7 team (Bills) is too crappy to play a role, I would say. The Chargers will face the Bengals this week and it's going to be December, traditionally a very good month for Norv Turner. It's still a long shot though.

The AFC playoff picture is interesting, but I think that all of the teams that you mentioned would just be a sacrificial lamb in the first round.  I will even include the Steelers with Big Ben because they had several issues before he got hurt.  It's pretty clear to me that the only good teams in that conference are leading their divisions.  I'm sorry if this offends some people, but it's true.  As things are now though (without looking at all of the schedules), I would probably pick the Colts and the Bengals to be the Wildcard teams.
