With replacement refs calling the games for the first week and maybe beyond, a lot of these match ups are going to determined by officiating. Its a third leg that in most years you don't even think about but I can see many a game being determined by how the whistle blows.

The only difference I have heard to expect are less flags. A good thing in some cases and of course bad in others. This was of course speculation based on the assumption that the refs would be more focused on learning other aspects of the job and not being able to concentrate on penalties. Hopefully, the game will be determined by less wistle blows and not more.

I wished I could be cocky, but since the Bears have such an easy Week 1 game in comparison to the Packers I better stay quiet.

There's always Week 2 and an 0-2 start for GB.

Lol, I change my stance on the new refs based on this.

And Aron Rodgers is such a redneck.

Oh man I missed this thread so much. Good to see some familiar faces (names) back. There are so tough matchups this week especially considering some roster are not yet figured out. I am looking forward to seeing how the Seahawks do along with the new look Colts and Redskins.

I will have my table up on the weekend havent had a chance to analyze yet, and by analyze I mean play Madden and eat chicken wings.

Welcome, we will not let a Canadian beat us again.

If RG3 can perform well early and the Skins have a good run game , I believe they can have success because that is what a successful Mike Shannahan offense does: Run well and have solid air game. Shannahan has not had a great quarterback in a long time (maybe except for Cutler, arguable) so they could do well. Though I see them being a more dominant force in a couple of years.

The first week is always a bit of a crap shoot.  There are many games that I believe can go either way.  I almost picked Denver over Pittsburgh, but logic stopped me from doing so.
