I - think - you use the shield he is weak against because when he hits your shield his element should do reduced damage to it thus your shield holds longer or something.

Is it known what those 3 DLC packs contain? I hope its not just costumes but new chapters with hopefully at least 1 new boss per chapter.

I actually just tested using a shield of different elements in one of the later Avalon pacts, as I was fighting two bosses of different type at the same time. It still stopped the rushes of both, so that's good enough for me.

So there's an achievement for unlocking 60 costumes....are colors counted as new costumes or are there really 60 different outfits?

lol, colors count as costumes. there's 14 different costumes (or thereabouts)

Did Japan already get some of those new DLC monsters? I wonder if those monsters are incorporated into full chapters with story, recruitable sorcerers and since they probably have new souls there should be new sigils too.

^Japan already got all the monster DLC from that image, except the black ones. They also got a new area, the one below(inside giant body). There was also a new black arts dlc. Don't know about new spells/sigils though (probably will have some new since new bosses).
