Wii > Xbox/Gamecube/PS2 (raw performance)

Therefore, Wii's technology is the next generation.

I fail to see the issue.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

@Gameboy

The Wii is more like the xbox so i also wouldn't class it as 'Next gen'

Non-mention of the Wii doesn't really mean they're dismissing it.

So now the definition of next-gen is processing and graphical power? Isn't the generation of consoles solely defined by the timeframe when the consoles were released?

Come on people! The Wii/360/PS3 are all 'next gen' or current gen as it should be known. Who cares about Atari they must be bankrupt by now.

I think the Wii is in fact the only current gen system. The 360 and the PS3 are clearly next-gen, people don't want them so much yet :P

 But the "gen" is usually in some sort of competition, we can all assume that there was a technical standard "last gen" seeing as the Ps2, gamecube, xbox all had similar looking titles. But this gen it seems the 360 and the PS3 have the similar titles, and the Wii has it's own separate color spectrum. I would put the 360 and the PS3 as the "console standard" for power and performance. It's not that the Wii is last gen, just not quite "next gen", maybe "Middle Gen" :P
