and even more telling, KH: mobile - SE had no involvement whatsoever and they could do that simply by not including and FF characters. development was by Disney Mobile Studios and Superscape http://www.gamespot.com/mobile/rpg/kingdomhearts/index.html

edit: almost forgot, can't find the link but in the post i referred to above had a link showing that Sora was in fact considered a disney character.

I'm not saying SE doesn't have any say (cause they could say my way or the highway too) but I feel like disney has the upper hand in any negotiations.

I actually doubt Disney would argue due to Square being the better developer. Could you even imagine how bad KH3 would be if Disney's studios made it? omg the quality would drop faster then a lead balloon

And why do you think SE is so against KH3 being on the Wii?

It can't a situation where Disney like this?

Disney: We think KH3 should be on the Wii?

SE: Sure, why not?

because the series has been on Sony's consoles and KH pushed the PS2 like FFXII did so they want KH to push the PS3 in a similar way.

Kinda how FFVII was on a Nintendo console?

The only FF main series games on a Nintendo console is FF1 - FFVI. All was released later on the PS1 and PS2 in anthology (like) collections on a single disc. FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX were ported from the PS2 to PC, due to popularity, but PC doesnt count as it's godlike compared to all consoles. After FF game that were were released after FF9 stopped being ported to PC.

And why do you think they couldn't release a KH 1 and 2 collection for Wii?

If after 6 FF on nintendo consoles they moved FF to PS, it wouldn't be surprising they move KH3 to Wii.

it was decided that only the CD-ROM format would be able to suit the project's needs.[48][57][59] Nintendo, for whom Square had developed all previous titles in the Final Fantasy series, had decided to continue to use cartridges for their upcoming Nintendo 64 console. This eventually led to a dispute and as a result, Square eventually decided to end their long, often tumultuous, relationship with Nintendo and announced on January 12, 1996 that they would be developing Final Fantasy VII for Sony's PlayStation system

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFVII#Changes_from_past_installments

what is point they had a good decision to switch from nintendo to sony

So why wouldn't it be a "good" reason for KH3 to go to the Wii?

There are a bunch of reasons why KH3 should go to the Wii:

1. Sales
2. Demographic
3. HD graphics are not needed for KH

And other things mentioned hundreds of trillions of times that I won't post again for the millionth time...

sales eh?

Third party wii games don't sell and someone agree with me http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=179648

Again, why don't you do more research, go to the thread where the topic is being discussed, and find out why NMH bombed in Japan before making stupid statements.

So lets say, for the sake of arguement, that Disney and Squareenix do split because of Disney's insitence that a huge series like Kingdom Hearts 2 get made on the Wii. Who could Disney turn to for help developing the game. I suppose they would have to be a strong supporter of the Wii with at least one genre defining series of action/adventure games and have enough recognizable charaters to replace the list of characters Square has. What Nintendo friendly developer has a ton of characters they like to throw in a ton of games as cameos and is known to make the best games of the generation...

So your saying THQ owns Sponge Bob Square Pants, or Activision owns the James Bond franchise just because they have the publishing rights to it? Or before that, Nintendo because they published  Goldeneye 007? How about Sierra owning the Bourne franchise because they're publishing "The Bourne Conspiracy"?

 V CAST
Menu for the Kingdom Hearts V Cast game

A Kingdom Hearts game was developed exclusively for V CAST, Verizon Wireless's broadband service, and was released on October 1, 2004 in Japan and on February 4, 2005 in the United States.[34] It was one of the launch games for the V CAST services.[35] The game, developed by Superscape and published by Disney Mobile with no involvement from Square Enix, features the original Kingdom Hearts's gameplay, modified for the input method of mobile phones.[36]

The first section begins with the protagonist of the original Kingdom Hearts, Sora, shipwrecked on a seemingly uninhabited island, his friends Goofy and Donald missing. Sora must find a way to escape the island, as well as reuniting with Donald and Goofy. Reception of the first playable mission pack was mixed. The game was criticized for its awkward controls and limited availability. The visual appeal was praised; GameSpot stated that Sora "is very detailed and well animated" and complimented the 3D environments.[37]

Reality disagrees with everything you have said in this thread.
