Im aware that the classic Sonic games from the 16 bit era are on Nintendo via VC or a collection, but im asking for the best games made specifically for Nintendo consoles from the ground up :)

Sonic Adventure 2 is also on Dreamcast, so i will stick to Nintendo exclusive Sonic games (Sonic Adventure 2 would have made the list easily otherwise)

Top 3 Nintendo exclusive Sonic games.

1. Sonic Advance (GBA)
2. Sonic Rush (DS)
3. Sonic Colours (DS)

Top 3 Sonic games overall

1. Sonic & Knuckles (SEGA Megadrive)
2. Sonic CD (Mega CD)
3. Sonic Generations (360) & Sonic Adventure 2 (SEGA dreamcast).

sorry, could not seperate Generations & Adventure 2....... both equally as awesome as each other.

1.5 isn't really "brilliant" for a Sonic game. It's somewhat higher wit hthe PC sales, but for Sonic that's still pretty anemic.

The Genesis games on the Virtual Console, huh-doy.

And Sonic Adventure 2 battle. At least one third of it was excellent.

its more than what Colors sold on WII and Generations hasnt even been out for a full year. If Colors did well I dont see how Generations didnt either

No, Colors did pretty anemically as well

far enough. But its not really like Sonic games have been setting the charts on fire this gen. Maybe you should drop your expectations??

Yes we have

and no Im still not 100% sure that the Wii version would have outsold it. Rayman Origins didnt and that was a game that was favored to sell best on Wii, but again we will never know

THe PS2 had terrible slowdown in addition to not looking as sharp
