I kinda wish Naughty Dog developed PC games. They'd show just how lazy 95% of PC developers are.

can't wait for TLOU and Beyond. two great games i will buy day one. beyond because of heavy rain and TLOU because of naughty dog

I doubt many PC developers are lazy. If the lead platform is a console and they have a limited time, say 2 years, to make a game there's only so much they can do.

Thus far; Uncharted 3 still looks better imho. BUT I believe it's because of the insane spectacle that is Uncharted when it comes to what they can do in environment changes as well as the fact that is probably more linear than TLOU. If ND is right and TLOU can have different "paths" with different outcomes, then its quite clear that it wont be as good looking as 1 path with 1 outcome. Regardless: Its giving UC3 a run and thats crazy.

This +1.

Its not like alot of devs have a choice in the matter and the ones that do make great looking PC games Crytech, Dice, CDProject etc.

But yes i would also love if ND made a game for PC as id imagine they would make a masterpiece that would blow any other PC game out of the water in terms of Graphics.

The problem with PC is the dynamic hardware... the game designed to play in PC have a lot of troubles to work with all combinations of different hardware in market. The other issue is the open setthing who anyone can change to run better (resolution, filter, etc).

If PC was a fixed plataform like consoles games would be better graphically and it utilize the full potential.

This game will look and play awesome of this I have little doubt. Naughty Dog has been masters since Crash Bandicoot was introduced on the PSONE.

When I say PC developers, I'm referring to developers that are making PC games just for the PC. Developers like Crytek and EA DICE make magnificent games graphically, and I believe they make great games because of the constraints they have to deal with to get their games working at a high level on consoles. They have to come up with clever and creative techniques to get the most out of limited hardware and can then bring those creative techniques to PC versions of their games with little to no limitations. Developers like that are not in the 5% that I was referring to.

Take cars for example. 95% of American cars in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, sucked at everything except for raw power because there wasn't a premium on land. U.S. car developers didn't need to worry about cornering or braking because our roads rarely turn in sharp angles and were relatively wide, so a big car with a big engine was all that really mattered in terms of performance. Cars developed for the U.K. or Japan on the other hand, had to take into consideration compact areas and high fuel costs, so cars were made more efficiently.

Eh, I disagree. The character models alreay top Uncharted's and think the grittiness of The Last Of Us will be well displayed with better textures and detail (not to mention, the lighting already eclipses Uncharted 3's, which is the best I've seen in a game).

By the time this releases, it will easily top the best of Uncharted.

I think Ellie looks a bit off at times :/ I don't know. Can't put my finger on it.

Graphically though, she's ahead of all of the females in Uncharted. I know you hold Uncharted 3 near-and-dear to your heart, but The Last Of Us clears it (everybody in the industry that's played it points out specific advantages, including Digital Foundry here). It just lacks the spectacle of Uncharted, which makes sense given Joel and Ellie aren't simulating action-movie heroes.

Oh yeah no, the females in Uncharted isn't all that. But when I think of UC3, I see Drake in the desert or the waves moving the cruise ship. It's unfair really as TLOU won't have that. But comparing Joel to Drake with one picture eg:

 

Okay no, TLOU wins.

For now.

EDIT: Although, doesnt it feel like TLOU is a bit more.. cartoony? I don't know. They look somewhat ..different.
