Ultimate Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition : Just because its the longest I've spent playing street fighter.

Otherwise I'll go with darkkignth and say X-Men vs Street Fighter. Really fun and addicting, A badass roster. Fast and smoth combos.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior on SNES. Back then I only had my friends to play against so I was under the impression I was pretty good at this game. Years later, SF4 showed me how much I actually suck at this game and I still resent it for this.

Signature goes here!

Probably Super Street Fighter 2 on the megadrive with those 6-button controllers, or Street Fighter Alpha 3, that co-op mode was unique and fun.

I haven't played Street Fighter 4 enough to compare it with those two, but it's better than Street Fighter 3. I don't know why people liked the parry in those games, it was an overpowered and badly implemented gameplay element.

This is a very tough question, but my personal favourite has to be X-men vs Street Fighter. I know people might say "That's not a Street Fighter", but it has its name in it so hah :P. For the "Traditional" Street Fighter, I'm going to have to go with Street Fighter Alpha 3, not the most technical of them (Street Fighter 3+ are), it was the most refined I found. You can do limited air juggles (Except for those hacked infinites), they gave you a choice of 3 fighting styles, and the overall presentation was top notch and only surpassed by Street Fighter 4.

Lol I was gonna say X-Men Vs. Street Fighter at first too. Me and my brother used to wake up early in the morning just to play it before school......good times.

Hahaha. As the only person to vote for Ex (so far), I suppose I'd better explain myself.

The Ex series, contained and in itself, I feel is fantastic. Excellent roster of characters, combat was just the right speed for me, the super moves you could throw was amusing etc. Still kept that hard edge as well, Bison 2 in EX2 was a nightmare.

I think for me it's the nostalgia factor though. They were the first Street Fighter games I played at a time when I was big on 3D beat 'em ups. I'm sure the other series are probably vastly superior, but for now Ex is my favourite.

Good old Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition. The more layers they added on to it, it seemed to rely less on skill and strategy and more on memorizing combos and reaction times.
