This is really interesting- since this man can only remember what happened within (at maximum) the last 30 seconds, he always feels like he's just ocame out of a long stage of unconsciousness. All he can remember is his wife's face, and an ability to play the piano. He's unable to even remember what tastes go with different foods, even during the course of eating it. I can't even imagine how that must feel

Easy remember everything, at least you could still function normally.

Yea I have always wanted a photographic memory 

I read she said it was near-unbearable when someone close to her died. The shock of the moment never really got away and she had to learn how to deal with it.

The best thing to have would be selective memory.

Or if you think of something, and you remember it.

at least it's possible to learn to deal with it, with a 30sec memory you basically have to have someone watch you 24/7, basically incapable of performing even basic tasks that take more than a minute and would probably be in a constant state of confusion.
