Ghostlight has said it’s currently in the process of discussing the possibility of bringing Japanese RPGs to PC. Can we get a hallelujah on that?

According to a blog post from the firm, it’s currently in talks with its contacts in Japan, and while it has “one or two particular target products in mind,” and there’s also talk of releasing PC collector’s editions the titles deemed to work well on PC.

“While our original plan was for the PC games to be released digitally, after reading the huge amount of feedback from you all, we’re now looking into the added possibility of offering a limited number of physical collector’s editions as well,” 
said Ghostlight’s Ross Brierley.

“Where possible, we may also – for gamers who prefer to get their PC games digitally – offer the collector’s edition items separately from the game.”

No work just yet on which games are being pursued, or when we may expect a release, but this is good news nonetheless.

Yay my desire for a gaming console decreases again

Ghostlight has published games like Shin Megami Tensei, Agarest: Generations of War, Persona 2 in the UK so that should give an idea of the kind of game we can expect

Oh my gosh is this much needed.

With the re-release of FFVII and the Luminous engine being demoed on a PC (with the engine being designed arround DX11) we could see some more SE JRPGs come to PC as well. I would laugh so hard if FF Vs XIII was announced for PC with enhanced visuals etc vs the PS3 version. All the fanboys trying to make excuses as to why the PC version doesn't count and is a betrayal would be so funny.

I bet if it was to happen the first thread would have at least 10 comments saying "it will just be pirated"

I would love that, saves me from buying a PS4 :D

What console JRPGs? :/

When I read that a company was considering bringing JRPGs to PC all I could think was "big deal"? Then I discovered that they published many of the Shin Megami Tensei games, now you have me interested.
