@Soriku, so you don't think there is life outside of Earth?

So the simple fact that there are thousands of billions of other stars out there each with any number of possible planets. That the there are so many possible chances for life to exist, we are alone?

If you don't think there is for religious reasons, then answer this. Why would an all powerful God that created everything limit Himself to this one little planet?

Face it, we are not special or alone.

Now, if I read your tone in your responses above wrong, then just ignore my post.

Yo Supachunk think about this.

Let's say you're playing a videogame. Anyvideo game. Let's say, an FPS in a cityscape. You're running down the street and you see all of the skyscrapers rising next to you, and you see buildings in the background, sprawling all the way to the horizon. Is there life inside of those buildings? Are there rooms behind the windows, and people sitting in their offices doing work? Maybe all of those galaxies and planets and stars, while magnificent and beautiful, are out there to make us feel like we are in something so much bigger, the same way game developers put empty models and slap a texture on it to make us feel like we are in a huge environment, when in reality, it's a mere illusion.

Just a thought

That's a really stupid analogy. How can you compare whether life exists or not in the universe to whether a developer might put some secret NPC hidden away?

I hate reading this bible shit, can't people just realize that's how idiots tried to explain life because they didn't know better 2000 years ago or whenever the bible was written, I have no idea how or why it still exists and is believed today.

And I'm no bible basher, trust me I wish the bible was real, but the truth is, it's not.

@ArtofAngels  What!? Have you read it? It sounds barbaric.

OT: How come UFO sightings are always in America. I wish I could see a similar thing happen in the UK, so I could see for myself how legitimate these claims are.

it seems UFO sighting across the world is increasing

@Avalach21

Sorry, but that is the most ridicules reasoning I have ever read. I'm not trying to be a dick, as I am sure it appears, but seriously, comparing a video game to the entirety of existence???

I get the point. God created everything, just as a developer creates the universe of your game. But, the point that an infinite God would create life on only one planet seems pretty un-infinite to me. Why would God want to stop now? God obviously created an abundance of life on Earth. Why would God stop? Using a religious reasoning just doesn't make sense. Life must exist elsewhere. That is really the only plausible theory.

News flash:

Rural Texans just discovered that manned flight is possible and has been happening in the rest of the world for the past 120 or so years.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Why won't these things ever come true?!

It'd be so fascinating.

if aliens are out there (which if they are or not is of no consequence to me... unless they invade earth or something) but why does everyone assume they'd be more advanced than us?
They'd be bound by the same laws of physics, mathmatics, and all elements would be the same
(aaarrrggghhh I revile typing on the psp)

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not that they would all be more advanced, but that there is the possibility that there are some greater, some similar, some less. Granted, we could have been the last to evolve and be dead last. Similarly we could be first. More than likely, based on our position in the known universe, we are somewhere in the middle.

Hell, there is probably planets that are void of life due to killing themselves off. Really there is a infinite number of possibilities.
