He has a work phone so everything ncr related goes there, and that was with him, not in the bag.

@bolded If that's the case why would he return it instead of ditching it? :S

if he is the same guy as the one on the store cctv who took the bag then he isn't innocent but why bother giving the stuff back,sometimes they want your address to rob your house while you are at work but who knows

For the second question, money is easiest. In fact, had I had my backpack returned with my laptop, ds, textbooks etc etc, I'd be happy to have given the thief 100 or even 200$. As it is, most thieves will go through a bag, take the money, and throw everything else into a dumpster, so be glad it's only ten.

Lol that's what I said to my brother, he was so upset but it could of been so much worse.

hange the locks if keys were in the bag, change the card numbers, etc.

Also, who knows, maybe he was looking to get some kind of referral. Like, Hey I met this guy today who found my bag, he was an engineer too. I dunno, people have crazy ideas when times are tough.

Lastly, yes it's possible that someone else stole it, and that guy found it and they happen to look alike.

Whatever the case may be, be glad you got everything back except for a tenner.

OH and BTW, I don't think this changes much but his daughter (I assume) was in his car when I got the bag.

That doesn't change anything really. Unless she was taking down notes of what you and your brother look like or something.

nah she was like 5. It does kinda make him seem innocent though, but I guess that's the point.

That could be the only situation.

Just do what people have said, you might want to check with the police to see if he has a record.

This all sounds like an elaborate drug exchange.
Ur bro leaves a bag lying around with the money, the dealer snatches the bag andleaves the drugs in the ez pay bag.

Sounds dodgy to me. Only repeating what others have said but just make sure you change the numbers. Did you not get his reg when you met the guy coz thats the first thing i would have done, the second being phoning the police the minute he had left. Dont forget the guy is on camera stealing the bag and you can id him if it came to that.
