So... are Monster Hunter 3G or P3 easier to get into than Monster Hunter Freedom Unite was? I played that game for more than 10 hours but had no real sense of progress and was totally confused (the interface felt clunky as hell and the camera controls were complicated) so I stopped playing. I really want to get into this series but only if they streamlined things in 3G / P3 a bit.

Other than that: Bring it on Capcom! Fans have been waiting for years to get their hands on the new entries.

BTW, if the PSP (3rdP) game is really not coming, could this be the first 5 million game to never leave japan? I mean, that's insane in this day and age!

Last one that did such a feat was DQVI in 1995 for the super famicon, which sold considerably less - 3.19mi - and that was because Enix had closed all their international offices.

But they also mention that a new 8-4 project will be unveiled at gamescom.

Vic, i understand you're excited, but there is no chance for portable 3rd or portable 3rd HD. At least not with online play.

MH3G and MH4 on the 3DS possibly with online play is the only chance here.

I'm still not convinced, it's very strange, really - like I said, it would be a first. And those kind of firsts didn't happen often in 1995, let alone 2012. I know it's barely possible, but I still think it's a very bizarre situation.

But I'm not excited about 3rdP, I actually want this reveal to be 3G, online or not.
